Akileine Winter Cream 75ml

Having been plagued with chilblains on & off for 40 years, I had a particularly bad bout this month when the very cold weather started. Operations on my legs have affected my mobility so I've not been moving around very much, adversely affecting circulation. The itch & swelling was driving me crazy & also affecting my sleep, though luckily they never got to the stage of breaking open. I tried lots of creams & remedies, including pee (not very nice)! Nothing seemed to work for long. Then I found this & it's been a life saver. I apply to all my toes both morning and night, and also before I go out into the cold & when I get back in again. I wear a good thick pair of thermal socks indoors & nice cosy slippers (Snoozies are good) during the day and also in bed, & the chilblains have gone away, even though the weather is still freezing. As soon as I applied the cream the first time, I felt some instant relief which then became more consistent after regular usage, and two weeks later I have no chilblains. My toes still get cold, but when they warm up, they no longer itch or swell up like big red chipolata sausages! This cream has saved my sanity as well as my toes & comes strongly recommended. It also smells really nice. Do try to keep your body at a constant temperature though, & take lots of hot drinks (ginger tea is good) & hot food, as well as wearing warm layers of clothing. It all helps to keep your core warmth at a constant temperature. Chilblains are hellish but this cream works really well & I will continue to use it daily throughout the winter.

As an open water swimmer I wear neoprene gloves through the winter. However on Christmas day on taking my gloves off my fingers were so painful. I don't have Raynauds disease and had never experienced anything like this before in almost 5 years of swimming outdoors. I did some research and bought this cream. I apply it before i put the neoprene gloves on and as soon as i am out of the water I put on woollen gloves, with ski gloves on standby. So far it appears to have helped . I was so worried i would have to stop my winter swims but hopefully this will allow me to continue

This cream has saved me from my painful problem of chilblains over the winter - it’s really good isn’t messy and works for me

My hands have become extremely dry since overusing hand sanitiser during COVID. After trying about dozen hand creams, I found this to be one of the best. It doesn't sting (too much - obviously this depends on the condition of the skin), it heals cracks and moisturises. (Strangely I found some other famous brands that heal cracks but at the same time they make my skin even more dry so it cracks again. ) This one both heals and moistures. Not sure how it normally absorbs, because I use a lot and apply it before going to bed and I wear cotton gloves overnight. I wish it was not so pricey.

I bought this cream when I had a chilblain on one toe and another coming. It has helped to heal the one and stopped development of other. I apply twice daily and it really works for me.

For me, this product does not work as well as Balmosa which unfortunately is no longer available. Will not be re-ordering. Will have to try and find another alternative.

This cream is very good and has improved my feet no end. It also protects them.

The product is good but the state of the tube wasn’t so good, although not damaged beyond use it was really battered but not sure whether it was like this or the Amazon delivery cause the state of the content.

Llevaba más de dos meses con sabañones en los dedos y decidí probar esta crema para ver si notaba alguna mejoría. La he usado durante aproximadamente una semana, aplicando una capa fina por la noche en la zona afectada, y la verdad es que estoy viendo buenos resultados. He notado menos hinchazón en los dedos, menos picazón y también menos rojez. La crema se absorbe bastante bien y rápido, algo que se agradece porque no deja sensación grasa ni incómoda y huele bien. Con poca cantidad es suficiente, al menos en mi caso. Para ver el progreso de como estaban mis dedos al principio, se pueden ver las dos fotos que he puesto en esta reseña.

Wish I discovered this cream years ago! I suffer from circulation issues in my extremities and am sensitive to quick changing cold climates (dry to wet). I have suffered from chilblains on my toes and fingers for a few years now and wow does this lotion work!!! I ordered after my chilblains started up for the winter season, and within 2 days they went away. I only used this cream at night (I put on after showering on my hands and feet). I have been using even just a slim amount every night before bed this winter and they have not returned. This is now a staple for my winter routine. The smell is great too!

No improvement at all, I am very upset 😓

du mois d'octobre à mars j'ai les pieds violacé avec des zones sensibles voir douloureuse , certains dirons la maladie de raynaud sous une forme bénigne , bref ce sont des engelures. là nous sommes dans les températures négatives et je suis persuadé que sans cette crème ce serait douloureux , là c'est toujours violet évidemment mais sans douleur même en touchant ! j'en met 1 à 2 fois par jour , avant de dormir et au levé , une petite noisette à peine. je suis surpris car je n'y croyais vraiment pas
