Pacific Foods Organic Vegetable Broth, Plant Based, 32 oz Carton (Case of 12)

This is really an excellent organic, gluten-free, cane sugar-free, dairy-free product. It is rich with the benefits of organic carrots, organic celery, organic onions, organic tomatoes, organic leeks -- it's organic all the way through to the organic bay leaves, organic parsley, organic thyme -- Pacific Foods went all-out to make a fabulous product, and they definitely achieved it. The vegetable broth tastes just fine just as it is -- you can just heat it and serve it -- you can drop in a few noodles -- or you can drop in a bit of miso and stir up a grounding, centering, incredibly nourishing post-yoga or post-exercise, or just plain lunchtime soup -- I add it as an equivalent of the "water" called for in soup recipes -- a container fills up my crockpot once I've added the other soup ingredients -- and soon I have a delicious pot of soup -- I order Pacific Vegetable Broth by the case -- it's a staple in my food pantry -- I give this broth five stars and two thumbs up.

I live in NYC and this broth is really expensive in my neighborhood grocery store. I've ordered this several times and have been really happy with it. I cook a lot of recipes from Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker: 200 Recipes for Healthy and Hearty One-Pot Meals That Are Ready When You Are which uses veggie broth in many of the recipes. I've been really happy with the quality of the broth and use it several times a week. I have to admit though that I am going to try to make my own broth to save money after I use up the last of my most recent order. It has taken me a while to get comfortable with getting dinner on the table and it seemed too daunting to make my own stock when I first started.

I cook most everything from scratch for my 89 yr old mom who has multiple health issues and this product is a pefect base for the vegetable soup I make for her every week---it's handy, tasty and good nutrition stats-that's why I always keep a case on hand. I ordered 12 boxes and received 6. Despite the exterior packaging being completely unscathed, the boxes of broth were distended and had leaked all over each other. I reached out to the seller who said they can provide a replacement or partial refund (not sure what that means money wise) but that I had to send pictures (no problem, I did) and I had to ship them back to the seller for a replacement. When I inquired whether the replacement would give me the 12 I paid for, instead of the 6 I received, I got no answer. I am not sure if it is worth paying to send back the defective boxes if I am going to receive half of my order again vs. getting a partial refund, but I won't know until I get a reply. I am starting to think I won't get one. Will update if that happens.

I was pleasantly surprised by the yummy taste. I've tried other Veggie Broths and use them for cooking, but this is the only one I like to drink on its own. I've bought a slew of them including the 4 packs so I can take them with me to drink while I'm at work. When I run out, you can be sure I'll buy more. Nutritious and tastes great - a winning combination.

This is superior organic vegetable broth which has become a staple in my house.

I have been buying cases of this product for years from my local co-op. I decided to give Amazon a try. Unfortunately, the expiration date is set to expire before I will be able to eat all of this soup. I will be switching back to purchasing this product from elsewhere. As for the product itself... I LOVE PACIFIC VEGGIE BROTH. I usually get great products with excellent expiration dates from Amazon purchases. Occcasionally, I am disappointed.... including this time.

I bought this item because I was on a restrictive diet that prohibited preservatives and other "junk" ingredients. I really liked that every thing that goes into this broth is something that I recognize. I didn't realize at first how good the broth is until my husband (a fairly frugal shopper, who would normally just pick up whatever is cheapest) went out of his way to restock with this exact variety of broth, and he commented on how good our soups taste since we've been using this broth as the base. I can't recommend it highly enough!
