A good tool
The reviews on this in my opinion are a little harsh. It is a very strong vacuum pen however so if you are planning to use it for smaller components I'd keep looking. I use it for gpu repair, and it is perfect. Pulling big components like VRAM and GPU cores with this is awesome.

Makes SMD placement way less miserable
Tweezers work fine for most SMD work until you're trying to place a 0201 passive or a QFN package and suddenly you're fighting the component every single time it tries to stick to the wrong surface. This tool solved a problem I didn't fully realize was costing me that much time and frustration until I started using it. Suction is consistent and strong enough to pick up everything I've thrown at it — passives down to 0201, larger ICs, QFP packages, even some of the smaller BGA components with the right tip. The three tip sizes cover most use cases without needing to hunt down aftermarket nozzles. Rechargeable battery holds a charge well through a full assembly session without needing to plug in mid-work. That sounds basic but I've used battery powered pickup tools that couldn't make it through a board without dying. ESD safe construction matters and this one handles it correctly. Working on sensitive components and not having to worry about zapping something through the pickup tool is the whole point. One thing to flag — the suction release mechanism takes a little getting used to. First few uses I was accidentally dropping components at the wrong moment while my technique adjusted. Muscle memory issue more than a design flaw but worth knowing going in, especially if you're placing anything on a partially assembled board where a dropped component disappearing into the build is a real risk. Build quality is solid for the price. Feels like a bench tool, not a toy. Anyone doing regular SMD work who's still fighting tweezers on fine pitch components should just pick this up. I love the ease of use.

Only sort-of USB-C
I have mixed feelings about this purchase. It does seem to pick up SMD components fairly well and is useful for placing them. But to characterize it as USB-C rechargeable is wrong. It will only charge if you're charging it from a USB-A to USB-C cable; it will not charge from a normal USB-C power supply.

Will NOT pick up SMD resistors or caps
Most all the vacuum tools for SMD parts on amazon are for ICs. I purchased this one because it clearly lists 0805 parts as being easily picked up. I populate a PCB with screened solder with 0805 components. I have been using a tweezer - pickup is easy but placing is difficult because my hand jiggles (old age). I purchased this one to use instead of tweezers. The resistors (0805) are placed individually on the table next to the pcb. I tried all three sizes of angled pick up attachments - the only one that would eventually pick one up had the largest opening (18ga). There is a nice suction coming from the unit - I have no doubt that it would nicely with ICs - but I needed resistors. With the button on the unit pressed (vacuum motor starts) place the tip on the part and try to pick it up - nothing. I figured I was not holding the opening parallel to the resistors face thereby allowing a space for the tool to bypass the part, After 20 or 30 attempts - it would eventually pick the part up. I noticed that it would NOT pickup if applied to the base/middle of the part but would only pickup is placed on ot near the solder pads on the resister. ended reverting back to my tweezers because I could place 20 part verses 1 with this tool. I am returning the tool as I disagree with the published capabilities.

Grab one of these, not the non-electric ones.
This is an absolute must have if you work with small electronic components. Works much better than those cheaper alternatives which require you to manually pump them. If you can, get one of these instead.

THE required tool for placing and moving SMD resistors and caps.
I bought this on a whim, but it has become the goto tool for picking up and placing the nano-sized SMD 1/8 watt resistors. It is vastly better than the various tweezers that I have been using. It holds well and releases instantly.

The pump might be stuck not the battery being low.
Used this for a production process for 2 8 hour shifts. Works well but had a several times that the motor or pump seemed to has got stuck. Had to to a light tap on a hard surface on the butt of the pen and it would start to work again. After doing this several times i about to return it but the problem seemed to have gone away. We will be buying 2 more so we can expand our use for our assembly line.

Don’t be fooled by the sleek design.
It looks nice. That’s about it. Thought this was going to be the easiest way to place components but it’s actually not a time saver whatsoever. It’s frustrating to use moreso than regular tweezers. Mine won’t pick up almost any component easily no matter what tip I use. I went back to tweezers. Waste of money. Would probably return it but I’m lazy.

Geht
Erstmal funktioniert das ganz gut, wer weiß was passiert wenn dann doch mal Dreck, Flussmittel oder so da mit reinkommt.

Not bad at this price point
Used it a few times to place WSOIC-16 and 144 pin TQFP IC's and it does the job well enough. For small parts I use tweezers. One slight drawback is when you turn the pump off to release the part, you have to hold steady and wait a second or two for the vacuum to fade until the part is released. Not ideal, but can be adapted to.

Needed this to pick up flies. Works great!

Good value, but one "flaw"
The vacuum pen works as it should and seems well made. The motor is fairly quiet. I like that it's rechargeable and wireless. I deducted a star because you have to hold a button down to make it run. You have to keep pressure on the button the entire time you use it. For my purposes (diamond painting) it was tiring my hand, and making it ache, as I have arthritis.
