At first glance it looks like the two were very similar. After I started switching it out I realized many of the holes did not line up. So it look me another 2 hours fabricating the door and frame for everything to work properly. Even after everything I would still do it all over again to save the money. The fit and finish are very nice too. I would highly recommend if you are doing a new install. **Warning-make sure to order the proper Right handed vs Left handed. I needed a left and got a right. They are not designed to switch it over to the opposite. I had to take mine apart(against manufacture's recommendation) to change mine. Review: Economical - Great price.

I received my order today but the thumbturn lock did not come in the box?? - do I need to buy this separated?

Two companies make this type of lock Sumbin and Schlage, at two different price points. There is no way I am paying the price of a new to me car for a lock, so Sumbin it is. The quality is ok as per my contractor, will work for the next 10 years at least. Heavy solid product, works well as installed.
