Clever Eco-Friendly Alternative – Cleans Dishes Without the Mess
I tried the Lucent Globe dishwasher detergent sheets, and they’re a surprisingly effective alternative to traditional pods or liquid. Each sheet is lightweight and dissolves fully during the wash, leaving no residue on dishes or in the machine. The cleaning power is solid—plates, glasses, and silverware come out clean and streak-free, even after heavier meals. I also like that the sheets are dye-free and packaged with less waste, making them a more eco-friendly option. Pros: Dissolves completely with no residue Cleans dishes well, even tough spots Lightweight, easy-to-store sheets (no bulky tub or bottle) Eco-friendly packaging and formula Cons: Sheets are delicate—keep them dry until use Slightly more expensive per load than bargain-brand pods Overall, these detergent sheets are a smart, eco-conscious choice that still deliver on performance. Convenient, effective, and cleaner for both your dishes and the environment.

Cleans well without tons of chemicals
I really like this dishwasher detergent. It doesn't have a lot of chemicals in it, but it cleans the dishes well, including glassware. I have iron in my water and it still gets them clean and shiny, and smells pleasant, but not overly perfumed like some detergents.

Not effective despite various attempts to help them work
Don't waste your money. These are a kind of dissolvable paper w/pellets of detergent implanted. They do not fully dissolve during wash cycle, don't fully clean when dissolved in hot water 1st, then added into dishwasher, don't fully clean when dishes are lightly pre-cleaned by hand nor placed super carefully with no overlap. I am going to use them for handwashing since they dissolve & suds up.

Amazing
Cleans amazingly. Great value for money. Repeat customer. Rarely have any food residue on my dishes and if I do it’s bc I didn’t scrub them enough before the dishwasher

Disolve well, smell nice, easy storage, good for the earth.
I have been using pods in my dishwasher previously, and they did not disolve well. I decided to try these sheets. They do disolve very well. They have a rectangle sheet that is perforated, and the instructions say to tear in half and and use the half sheet for 1 load. It must be for production reasons that they dont complete this step themselves. As far as cleaning, I think they do ok. I really think dishwashers themselves do not work that well, reguardless of what soap you use, and rinsing dishes is a general necessity before running them. I am happy that the sheets disolve. The ingredients list lime, lemon and tea tree oil among other things. I like that it is plastic free. It came in a cardboard envelope. It does say to keep packaging closed when not in use, but it doesnt have a fold to do that, you just have to bend it shut. I actually only read that part today. oh well. The smell is pleasant and light, not overpowering. I have not decided yet what I think of the price. I am happy though that I am not putting plastic back into the water supply. I like that it is smaller to store and enviornmentally friendly. I feel like I am doing my part not to polute the earth when I use these. Also if you are traveling, like camping, they would travel well and be easy to use.

No more sandy dishes
I could never figure out why there would be sand in my dishes. Then I tried these. No more sand and my dishwasher actually works now

First try underwhelmed -
I was excited to try these - I used Cascade Platinum Plus before purchasing Lucent. I am satisfied with the job that Cascade does but like the fact these are more eco-friendly and are not liquid. This is my initial experience with these sheets - I started out using 1/2 sheet as recommended with mostly poor results. I will try again with a full sheet and update if that improve the cleaning result. My dishes go into the dishwasher virtually food free (scrapped and rinsed before going in) I only run plates and bowls on the bottom middle rack is cups, smaller bowls and food storage containers and any other smaller items. top rack is all flatware. I run a 60 min cycle with high heat water. Pros - no residue or spots (I do use Finish Jet Dry as well due to hard water) - other than stuck on food particles items looked clean. Cons- small bits of food stuck on almost all items I checked, In the utensil upper rack - forks were clean but the majority of spoons had stuck on food particles. Even items that went in with no food on the had small food specks stuck on them. I will update when I run my next load with a full sheet.

Did not work in an LG dishwasher
I really wanted these dishwasher sheets to work. They smell nice, they're good for the environment, and are easy to use. I have a fairly new LG dishwasher. I got the E6 error the first time I used a half sheet. That means too much soap. I ran it through again with no additional soap and it seemed to work. The second time I used a little over half of the recommended amount and I got the same error message. I don't want to run the risk of flooding my kitchen, which I saw other people complaining about, so I won't be using them in the dishwasher again. They work nicely for pots and pans, but that is not what I bought these dishwasher sheets for. I would not recommend these sheets for use in a dishwasher.

These work perfectly I have used them both in the dishwasher and in the sink Doesn't bubble a lot in the sink but brakes down the grease on the washing so that is all i require and no chemical smell

I have been using detergent sheets for my clothes for a long time, so why not try them for my dishes. They are pretty good so far. It does still take a little more scrubbing of the plates at first. but that is to be exptected, and if I can take some more chemicals out of my house, then that is a good thing.

They do a decent job in the dishwasher with one sheet if your dishes are already rinsed, otherwise 2 works better. I hand wash the dishes most of time so I threw one of these in the sink and filled it. They worked quite well that way! No mounds of suds bit dissolved the grease and baked on food in no time at all. I’m keeping the remaining ones in the caravan, they are perfect for that. They do work but are also rather expensive.

Using these in our dishwasher with a full load on a quick 45 minute setting (to save energy) We generally rinse our dishes and cutlery. The detergent seems to work well under these conditions. Just after the load is done there's a pleasant lemon scent which soon dissipates. Unfortunately after using these sheets for a while we found black mould spots inside the dishwasher which were not there with our regular powdered detergent.
