Included are Yoko's signature bags, baskets, and pouches in her uniquely charming style. Indulge yourself in Yoko's unique aesthetic. Included are gridded templates for enlargement of designs and piecing. Review: Another Yoko Saito Stunner - Beautiful projects, made by combining the Japanese taupes and wovens like only Yoko Saito can! Instructions are clear and thorough. A terrific addition to any collection of her books...after you purchase her Japanese Taupe Color Theory: A Study Guide. That one is the "bible" for those who love her fabrics and patterns and who want to understand how best to put together effective color patterns with these subtly-hued fabrics. Review: Beautifully printed book with equal content - I'm not a quilter but I bought this as a gift for someone who is, along with two other Yoko Saito books. The book is printed on good quality paper - thick, with a nice sheen. Photos are lovely & high quality. Just glancing through I was able to understand the instructions just from having grown up around quilters, so while the techniques may or may not be easy, the instructions are well written and easy to follow.

Love this!
So awesome! This is half of the 138 projects book that is written in Japanese. It's great to find all the beautiful patterns in this book, in English! I love this book and the companion new "Classic patch work" that has the standard block patterns. This one has the people and animal blocks.

I thought the book was great. Yoko's pictures plus her explanation of how to do the projects are excellent. I have several of her books and have plans on making a purse informative book

Make use of the Look Inside feature
I ordered this book because I was intrigued by the intricate designs featured on the cover. I used the Look Inside feature before placing my order (at that time there were no customer reviews to further aid me) but was still surprised when it came! Why? I had inadvertently overlooked/missed that the 78 motifs are 3.5-inches square! This info is given but, my mistake, I didn't read all the details. The templates given are full-sized with instructions for enlargement, which state "The templates can be enlarged or reduced as desired. Each template is printed on a grid of 3/16 squares. Use this measurement as your scale for sizing." Keeping in mind the size of each motif, which are listed in the table of contents, the completed projects are smaller than I thought they would be. I will not be making any of these projects but I still appreciate the beauty of the work that Yoko Saito offers. I have no doubt that this book will be a treasure to sewists who do not care about the size of the motifs or with calculating the enlargement scale.

Beautiful designs and photos; excellent instructions.
I enjoy the book again and again. Inspiring. Quilting friends have purchased their own copies for the same reasons. sw

Oh this is an amazing book and a must have! Filled with small squares all the same size which can be interchanged into lots of different projects. Very easy to follow instructions I have bought the fabric I just need the time to make the items, there are some gorgeous little bags and a water carrier. Brilliant a must to have on your shelf!

This is a beautiful and inspirational book
This is a beautiful and inspirational book, however the method of constructing of the delightful and creative blocks are not included. It would have been helpful if the artist/designer would have outlined her working process. Creating patchwork blocks on such a small scale requires skill and knowledge. If these details had been included in the book, I would have rated the book as excellent.

Yoko Saito Housewarming Patchwork Motifs
Yet another brilliant book from Yoko Saito. Always a joy to receive. Lots of things to interest everyone who like her work. All the patterns are in a pouch at the back of this book. Don't know that I may use the alphabet ones, but that still leaves 52 other great designs!!!

I love them and enjoy hand sewing tiny pieces
Fabulous book. As soon as I read it, I ordered another book by Yoko Saito. Although her muted colour choices and intricate designs may not be to everyone's taste, I love them and enjoy hand sewing tiny pieces. I have already completed the bag on the cover, and can't wait to do another of her bags.
