the weather is very humid where I live and my salt is always clumping or just will not come out of my shaker, this set of shakers makes that problem no longer exist for me, I totally recommend these to everyone

Just what I was looking for. So happy! Very well made and just so nice.

I love these s&p shakers. The lid has nobs on them that fit inside the holes in the lid. That helps keep the salt dry. I live on the TX coast and everything collects moisture, especially the salt and spices. The only problem is that the lid breaks easily. If you grab the lid a little bit crooked, it breaks off. The lid hinge needs to be stronger and thicker or give us spare lids with the order.

for travel, etc they are finesturdy not flimsyclose lid . the design works perfectlythey could have muted colours toolike greyish blue

Living in Florida, powdered and grated spice/herbs are affected by humidity even when the air conditioner is on. These jars are truly air tight. No clumping, especially my garlic powder.

I have only used one piece of the set of two. I just like a little salt for my takeout breakfasts. I have used it only about a dozen times, but already see that the plastic hinge on the cap is starting to break. When it goes completely, I will go to the second shaker. When that goes, I'll look for something else. Also note that I use a few grains of rice to keep the salt from clumping up (a hint from my wife), but unfortunately the holes are big enough to allow those grains of rice to escape. Dry rice grains on my cheese omelet are not tasty.

I was looking for some clear salt and pepper shakers and I found these. The blue and green matched my kitchen so I ordered them. I was concerned when I got them out of the package because they felt very cheap. I filled them with salt and pepper and put on my counter. The first time I used the salt shaker I noticed that the holes were too big and lots of salt came out. No way to remedy this so I started shaking the salt in my hand and then putting it on food. Bummer! Then the snap top on the salt shaker stopped snapping shut. This will eventually cause the salt to clump. The one I use for the pepper I've had no problems with, but the one for the salt is unusable.

I ordered these to put cornstarch in for traveling. Perfect size, sturdy and just as described. Lid stayed closed but yet easy to open.
