VG27AQZ1A Review: Superb Monitor for PS5 and Xbox Series X, but I have buyer's remorse - So it's been little over 2 weeks since I treated myself to this monitor, I'd done good amount of research before finalizing this specific model. Other models which I was looking into before zeroing on this were Benq EX2780Q and the LG GL850 variants. All three monitors offer near identical specs (1440p/165 or 144hz) and allows 4K downsample to 1440p on PS5. This is very important since PS5 doesn't support 1440p resolution which is bizarre in itself, atleast the monitor figures that out and outputs at it's highest resolution by taking in the 4K signal from the PS5. On the Series X you can actually output at 1440p resolution specifically. Pros -Color accuracy post calibration is simply stellar for gaming and netflix/desertcart prime movie or tv series viewing -The 120fps output from PS5 on this monitor is so good, it's hard to fall back to 60fps after experiencing 120fps. -Plenty of video profiles to choose and optimize, I'd personally recommend Racing or FPS profiles in the monitor for your optimum experience. -Sturdy Stand and decent swivel options (lateral, horizontal and vertical) -Good enough real estate for immersive gaming thanks to 27" when viewed from 2-3 ft from the screen. -Monitor comes with more than 2 sets of power cables, this is a neat feature to help us accommodate based on home needs. HDMI and Display ports are included too. -Good packing. Cons -Speaker audio quality is not up to the mark, it's quite feeble. I am not trying to sound entitled but come on you charge 33K for a monitor and it can't even produce decent volumes in audio. -Lack of Remote makes things a bit cumbersome. We aren't living in golden era of first generation CRT tvs that needed us to reach out to the TV box to switch through channels and settings. Wish Asus had thrown in a remote like Benq does for the EX2780Q monitor. -HDR is decent, but the monitor gets way too bright it makes my eyes hard to adjust and experience. There's no way to reduce the HDR brightness on the monitor (settings all appear greyed out in the monitor when HDR is enabled on PS5). Neutral -So this feels like an impulse purchase from me and I going through buyers remorse as i write this. I managed to secure this thanks to a no cost EMI but somewhere I feel I should've not bought the product. I had a perfectly functioning native 1080p Gaming Projector during my time in the US and it works even to this day. The real reason that triggered the impulse purchase was I felt like I am missing out on higher resolution and higher frame rate content. The other reason for buyer's remorse is I come from a "SARA SAR-EE Middle Class Family" and I feel like I am looking down upon myself for purchasing such an expensive product. Shame on you man for buying this instead of saving money :( Review: A Superb Monitor!!!! - I have been using this monitor for more than 1.5 months for work, media consumption and Gaming. Wow this monitor is the best (Obviously having high expectations considering the price tag). My unit has almost no backlight bleed, no dead pixels as such. This monitor can be used for content creation as it covers higher color gamuts. Gaming feels butter smooth no input lags as such. It can hit 165Hz only using DP cable not HDMI(144Hz max). Overall very very satisfied with the product its an all-rounder product. CONS: 1. Port Placement is worst .. needs some doing to place your cables back in the port 2. Don't buy for inbuilt speakers they are the worst.. sound quality is not even sub par 3. Color caliberation out-of-the box is the worst. I mean very worst. TIP: I found Racing mode with color temp R- 77, G- 91, B-100 to be the best

Good monitor , weird flicker
10/10 monitor as seen in reviews . In HDR mode you cannot turn off local dimming.(or atleast I couldn't I tried for 1 hr to find it.) HDR is very good . I have weird flicker @170hz with HDR (but I am not returning it as i seem to have gotten a fresh model and I don't want to get a refurbished/not fresh piece.) I m using it to play most games with HDR @144hz (very good colors and terrible local dimming ) Monitor seems to be color accurate at 100hz as well . Did not test any refresh rate below this . Keep in mind in HDR mode you have to enable it in windows first and then select brightness using windows itself. Let's be real you are not a competitive gamer you don't need the lowest response time . Use Cinema HDR ,don't use asus gaming HDR . Turn on HDR + G sync + ELMB sync(over drive 60) ,set games to ultra now have fun and chill.

Smooth Gaming with G-SYNC and Great Picture Quality
I’ve been using this monitor for a while now, and I’m really happy with it. The picture quality is sharp, the colours look great, and gaming feels super smooth with the high refresh rate. G-SYNC works well too—no screen tearing or stuttering, which makes a big difference in fast games. The brightness is also excellent, and I can use it comfortably even in a well-lit room. The stand is sturdy and adjustable, so I can set it the way I like. For the price, I’d say this monitor is totally worth it—great choice for gaming and everyday use.

Disappointed with the panel backlight bleeding from day 1 and two tiny white spots within 7 months
I have using this monitor for past 7 months and now I am writing a review. From day 1 this panel has backlight bleeding and at Reddit I found that this is very common for ASUS TUF panels. But I was ok with that. I was not bothered much. But now for last few days I am noticing 2 tiny white spots at the bottom right corner. Within 7 months I got 2 issues in display panel for a premium quality monitor, which is very disappointing for me. I will strongly recommend others to think twice before getting ASUS TUF panels. For me its my first and last display panel from ASUS.

PERFECT AS ADVERTISED
Very clear . Switches are kept in secret hidden. Child safety. Enough options. Two computers may be connected. Provision for headphone and cable connection. Correct size for desktop . A good choice for superb quality. No eye irritation and no more viewing exhaustion. *****

Monitor for gamers / coders / wfh
Very good monitor to gamers and coders. Loving the high refresh rate and vivid colours. I think the monitor is just a bit too bright for me but that's okay. Best thing is you can do 144hz via HDMI provided you have good gpu. Ran valorant at 1440p 144 hz with ocassional frame drops as I'm using a potato laptop. Apart from that I'll recommend this monitor. Go for it you won't regret.

No USB C type of connectivity available
The sound is pretty bad and as mentioned there is no c type connectivity available. Though the picture quality is fantastic and HDR is pretty good. There is an HDMI port, USB port, and HDMI 2.0 port. I am overall satisfied with what it is offering. Still disappointed at not having the USB C connectivity.
