Assembly Instructions.
It’s the same as OEM part…probably is same parts. Definitely could use assembly instructions. Here what I remember working (and I could be remembering wrong). You will be assembling it upside down.1. Assemble the top and one side. Be careful to have it assemble correctly - especially at the front. The more you mess with it, you will figure out how it just slides together. I put the top piece on a workbench with a towel between. Since you will be working with the top upside down on a surface, why scratch it?2. Assemble one side of the black engine cover to the pieces you just assembled. It has an attachment point in the top and then snaps into side. Two screws secures it when it’s together. To get it to snap on the side, some of the black pieces goes under the green piece (hope that makes sense).3. Assemble the other side/green piece.4. Assemble and screw the front small green piece, the black hangars, and the left/right sides. Don’t tighten the 2 screws yet.5. Screw the plastic lenses into the grille.6. Set the grill in place and align the hangers, left/right pieces, and the grill. Screw but don’t tighten.7. Everything look good? Tighten the 6 screws.8. Put the hood on the tractor.9. Insert bulbs and wiring harness. Don’t forget to have the wiring connector on the right side. Push the wire guides into steel bracket on tractor and connect wiring.10. Be glad you’re done and that you didn’t try 5 different ways like I did.11. Drink a beer to celebrate. NA beer is ok too.

needs work
This kit is ok but requires extensive modification to properly fit an X350 John Deere tractor. Four problems with it: 1. inner liner does not reach to the outer sides of the hood. 2. Mounting brackets need to be bent in to fit on the tractor frame mounting points. 3. Hood panel and side panels do not fit together at rear of hood, I had to add small screws to hold them together. 4. side panels flare out at rear of hood leaving one inch gap on both sides between side panels and instrument tower. This makes hood wobble on not perfect ground. I added rubber ball hold downs. For the price its ok if you are capable of doing the modifications to get it to fit properly.

take your time it’s worth it
what a pain to put together without instructions. but i got it! looks great ! a few extra screws and tabs but im sure they were for another hood.definitely need two peopleto help you steady itwhile your trying to snap the sides into place.but it’s a lot cheaper than star JohnDeere hood with all the parts to go with it $1000+. crazy! yes!

No instructions and parts don’t match
I was truly disappointed there were no instructions to assemble product so it’s 3 steps forward 2 steps back the screws were missing and the ones included were wrong size if I knew it was an an erector set with no assembly instructions I would have passed and purchased orm

Assembly is not easy
If you want to save a buck, and don't mind hours ofnfrustration during assembly, this is the right hood to buy. I read reviews, and the most accurate was something like a jigsaw puzzle without directions or a clear picture. I had to bend the thick, front metal brackets (where the hood fits onto the mower frame) to get the screw holes to align during assembly of the hood. I had to make some other small modifications. After some sweat, frustration and several hpurs, I got it together. It does fit my X320, and did save me money over a Deere branded hood, but if you can find a cheaper Deere hood, go for it.Also, save your head light cables, sockets and everything if possible. Cable provided does not fit plug on X320 mower.

Be aware there will be no instructions.
I have a X300 and the hood fit perfectly and looks great. The fact that there are no directions is very confusing, which made the whole process take longer than it should have. It also would be helpful to have a second person to help with the process.

Quality product works and looks great
Super ultra mega massively fast shipping, Well packaged, This is an excellent product at a great price. I read some feedbacks on it before buying it. Yes it’s hard for a single person to assemble, but if you have two people, it’s a breeze the same as the OEM parts. Instructions would be great to help the inexperienced person. I assembled mine in about an hour and a half by myself, but I had prior experience with repairing an OEM hood. It fits old and new X series mowers. Well, worth your money.
