Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf: A League of Legends: Arcane Novel (Arcane: a League of Legends)

C.L. Clark did a great job! I learned about this book from WILLA over on the clock app and IMMEDIATELY ordered it because I high key loved the Arcane series and had run out of fan reviews and analysis content. My my my, Clark did her big one with bringing the characters to life, weaving in golden nuggets from the series and gamelore into this book. You get to see the roots (and eventual ruin) of Ambessa. The Medardas are a mess…Clark really lays out their world, culture, beliefs and alliances. As busy as I was last week and this week, I churned through this page turner at a delightful speed. This book really fills out the Medarda parts of the Arcane series universe. It also sets up the beef between Ambessa and the Black Rose. So many good secondary characters are brought in and it only gets me more ready for the next season of Arcane. Now we need a pre-mage Mel novel before the next season drops!!!

Definitely did not disappoint with the back story of Ambessa. The audio book was so deep and chef's kiss. It was a wild ride to listen to Ambessa's story from Ambessa herself. Also having the opportunity to dive more into the world of Runeterra was amazing.

Great book - Beautifully written.If you just watched arcane and want to dig deeper into the lore than you have found yourself a great read.

The condition of the book's pages are alright, but there is some heavy book distortion and damage to the edges. I've never had a book arrive like this from Amazon, can't say I'm surprised though.There are also pictures at the end of the book that are taken from arcane and the recent wolf music video, but they look blurry...? As an artist that was unfortunate, but since I bought it for the novel, it was an interesting addition.

As someone who loves League of Legends and Arcane, reading this was such a wonderful treat. The women in it are so strong 💖

It has a bit of a slow start because it is the novelization of the music video, BUT I was soon hooked by CL Clark’s writing. I want a book about RELL please! And! Highly recommend the other books by this author as well. I feel like the arcane show followed similar story beats!

picked this up after loving Arcane season 2, lived up to the Ambessa I know and love from the show!!! Awesome story :)))
