There happened to be a discount, so I bought it with a friend. He left the e-book and the wireless charger, while I left the protective case. It was a very nice set

Pretty good e reader but, there are big problems when it comes to connecting to Apple AirPods.
I am writing this negative review because of the response I have gotten from Amazon support regarding connecting my bluetooth Apple AirPod Pro to our new kindles. The headsets appear to be connected to our ColorSoft Kindles but, no audio plays through them, even though a book in the Kindle is showing as playing. We have the same problem with my wife's ColorSoft Kindle and AirPods Pro headset.Amazon's response to this problem is that other users of Apple AirPods are having the same issue but, rather than fixing the problem with an update to the Kindle OS, Amazon tells me I have to contact Apple to have them update the firmware on all AirPods!!!So, Apple AirPods connect and work with virtually every device I have ever paired them to. They simply work. Amazon's Kindle on the other hand, will not function with our high end headsets and they want me to compile Apple to change their software or firmware on their tried and true AirPods, just so they will work with the Kindle OS???? Sorry Amazon but that is simply a terrible response to this problem. The problem obviously needs to be fixed within the Kindle OS.If we were still within the return window, I would return both of the new ColorSoft Kindles I bought since January 2025. I would reduce my rating to one star but, the reader function on the kindles is still good. We just cannot play any of our audio books on the kindles without buying new and different listening devices!I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW AMAZON HAS HANDLED THIS ISSUE.. When it is time to replace these kindles, we will not be considering Amazon for a replacement reader.
