"Bachelorette was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video. As one of modern music's most enigmatic and consistently entertaining personalities, Bjork has never shied away from the edge. Whether making straight ahead dance music, exploratory modern rock, or even show-tune-caliber drama, her vision has always remained innovative and original. Her voice jumps, in the space of a syllable, from a kitten-like purr to a banshee's howl, and is never anything less than captivating. HOMOGENIC, her latest musical endeavor, finds her plunging headlong into electronica, a form well-suited to her intense, offbeat phrasing and tone. From the skittering breakbeats and ghostly wails of the opening "Hunter" to the all-out electronic crash that is "Pluto," HOMOGENIC explores the melding of human and machine. The drama of "Bachlorette" finds a lush, rich string section following a tripping electronic beat, giving way to the Icelandic wonder's trademark wail. The juxtaposition of thoroughly modern sounds with conventional elements, such as symphonic arrangements, pipe organ, and accordion, form a central theme, t.

Great vinyl pressing of one of the best Bjork albums of all time.
Homogenic is Bjork at her best, no one has ever come close to sounding like her on putting on a show like her. Her ethereal voice comes through beautifully lifted higher by the orchestra backing her.

"I Thought I Could Organize Freedom, How Scandinavian Of Me"
Björk's third effort, Homogenic, reflected a fury previously unseen in her. Strained relationships and difficulties with the media in the aftermath of her stalker's suicide caused her to hole herself up in a house to write songs, taking breaks only to cook meals for herself and her producer. The result was a rare instance of perfection. If this is not the best electronic album of all time, it is certainly the best one of the 90s. Björk holds nothing back here, and from the haunting album cover to the plaintive cries of "Pluto", it's easy to see why.Track ratings:Hunter - 10/10Jóga - 11/10 - The best track of 1997.Unravel - 10/10Bachelorette - 10.5/10 - The 2nd best track of 1997.All Neon Like - 10/105 Years - 10/10Immature - 10/10Alarm Call - 10/10Pluto - 10/10All Is Full Of Love - 10/10Overall grade: 10.15/10 - Above perfection: 5.08 stars.
