Let me start off by saying that I cannot vouch for or against its durability since it’s very new. I love this percolator. It brews an awesome cup of coffee. The six cup mark is right for approximately 3 mugs of coffee. The clear top shows you the progress as you can see and when it is done (don’t ask me how it knows), the led at the base lights up to show it’s keeping the pot of coffee warm. The coffee was strong but yet mellow without the burnt taste I would get with the last over the range style of percolation. You should use coarser grinds or use one of the filters you can get for the bottom of the basket.

LOVE this percolator. I bought one of these 3+ years ago. Percolating makes much better coffee than auto drip and doesnt burn it as it sits. (If you stopped percolating in the 70s because it took too long vs new auto drip option, they percolate faster now) My pot had heavy daily use, about two pots a day for the household, and has lasted this long. Surprisingly lightweight. Excellent quality parts. Still keeps its shine even after 3 years. I did notice recently a little ring of coffee around the base as it sat so probably a little crack starting somewhere after being set down a couple of thousand times. Definitely always hand wash everything. I did come on Amazon wondering if there is anything better for what I want (I like a glass perc top not a solid one, for example) and no. This is a great percolator! Edit: I was wrong! No leak. Keeping new and storing old "just in case". A great percolator!

The glass top broke within 3 weeks. Must have been a flaw in the glass. Amazon replaced it very quickly. It perks super fast. Like that it keeps the coffee warm until I unplug the pot.

My father told me that it was the best coffee maker he had gotten he said you can taste the flavor more through this percolator than you can the drip coffee ones!

This coffee pot has been so good for us. We like the stainless steel parts and no plastic. Easy to use, just right size for us and fast.
