Focal CANERO Bluetooth Headset with Noise Cancelling

The Focal Bathys are great-sounding headphones — genuinely impressive, and even better once you EQ them to the Harman curve. The clarity and detail are excellent, making them a joy to listen to in the right environment. DAC mode is also fantastic. Connected via USB-C, the internal DAC delivers clean, powerful audio that easily rivals many wired setups. Contrary to what I initially thought, ANC does still function in DAC mode — it’s actually the Transparency Mode that gets disabled. Either way, the audio quality in this mode is stellar. Comfort-wise, I was able to wear them for hours. However, with my larger ears, I did start to feel pressure and aching at the top corners of the ear cups after extended use. They’re well-built and generally comfortable, but may not suit everyone’s ear shape. The biggest letdown is the ANC. On a plane, they simply didn’t block out enough noise to justify being called premium noise-cancelling headphones. For that, Bose and Sony still lead the pack by quite a margin. If you’re at home in a quiet setting, the Bathys are brilliant. But if you’re travelling or commuting and expecting best-in-class ANC, you’ll be disappointed. And if you’re not after ANC at all? There are plenty of audiophile headphones that will pancake these in terms of pure sound quality — often at a lower price. In the end, I returned them. The Bathys are excellent in many ways, but they’re marketed as ANC headphones — and on that front, they just don’t cut the mustard.

These are rated BEST for bluetooth sound and with good reason. I've had others from Sennheiser, B&W, Bose and the sound quality from Focal, is noticeable levels better. The mids are rich, bass is strong. The best part is the app comes with an audio compensation feature, to tune to your hearing. You can also use the EQ. The other unknown feature is that in wired mode, it has a built in DAC. This improves the sound another level better than bluetooth. If you value sound quality over ANC or all the other bells and whistles of the other wireless headset brands, then these are for you.

Si quieres silencio total en un ambiente callado, se escucha el “hiss” y puede llegar a cansar, vicia una escucha a bajo volumen o si los quieres para solo descansar de algún ruido exterior, se tiene ese ruido sutil. El no poder cancelar el ANC. El cable usb c es muy básico. Si se cambia a uno blindado y de buena calidad , el modo DAC es una belleza y deleite. En general me encantaron.

Sound is without an exception, mind-blowing. I am yet to put it to the grinds, however, initial testing against 8d lossless audio is quite impressive across the range. The sound stage is as expansive as proclaimed, you feel you're sitting in a large room. ANC is not that good though, so keep that in mind if you plan to use them in noisy surroundings, the music leaks out of the headphones and is audible from outside. Please keep your own use-case in mind. I put a head massage track and gave it to my mum. She assumed the headphones had in-built massager and wasn't ready to accept otherwise. Hope this helps!
