Bath tub grab bar install project
Summary: Adding a few grab bars to dad's shower. I used a lot of products for this project, so including all related products in this review. Recommendation: 1) When mounting grab bars, it's always easier if you can find the stud to attach to. In this vertical install, I decided to use a stud and Wing-Its anchors; partially because I wasn't sure I could hit both, and didn't want to put two fasteners vertically (on either the right or left only), but that would also position the bar in the shower a little too far in (towards the shower control). 2) The WingIts requires a 3/4" hole through the mounting material. For tile, this can be especially challenging. I used the SHDIATOOL diamond 3/4" bit, with the DRILLAX adapter to get through the tile, and then used the 3/4" BOSCH bit to finish through the dry wall. Also used the BOSCH bits for the other small hole. Having the right tool for the job is the difference between project completion, and a messy, disaster. Great bits
These core drills worked great. I cut holes for studs in some granite slabs being attached to the front of my house to mount lights and an address to. It’s a bit of a hassle removing and plunging out the cores after each hole cut but I tried using a couple other methods which resulted in destroying the slabs. For my application, these were exactly what I needed. I ended up reaming out the wax material as it seemed to make the bit clog up more and make it difficult to get the cores out. I was able to use water instead for my project.

Works great and outlast other brands.
Worked perfect. I used a variable speed trigger switch 4-1/2” angle grinder and couldn’t have asked for for better results. Cuts quick and outlast the Lennox and Milwaukee brands that I’ve bough and used for years from the big box stores.

Excellent product!
I have to admit that this drill bit is a life saver. Trying to install a RO for my daughter but the "no hole on granite countertop" was a barrier to me. Never thought it's possible to drill the hole by myself, as a minor mistake could be very expensive. However, after some research I realized it's very doable, with the right tool and caution. So I found this wonderful diamond drill bit at a very reasonable and affordable price. Received the product in the next day, and the drilling is just like cutting into butter. I'm not a pro and is at average handy. Just follow the 4 steps instruction: 1. Initialize the drill at 45 degree angle 2. In couple seconds, the drill bit does the job to cut into the stone. 3. Now while maintain the contact of the drill bit to the stone, slowly move the drill bit to upright position and continue the drill process 4. Continue the drilling while slowly swaying the drill in a cycle I did the dry drill, and in just 4 minutes, job was done!!! And, the drill bit still looks as new after it! I did read thru those reviews with bad luck. From my experience, I believe the following tips are critical for a happy result: 1. Do NOT push the drill too much. Let the drill bit, not your muscle, do the job to cut thru the stone. The weight of the grinder is enough to drive it thru. 2. Do it slowly and patiently. Time is your friend for a beautiful cut. Some other helpful tips: 1. Wear eye protector and hearing protector. It's loud! 2. Have a 2nd pair of hand to hold the vacuum around the hole to control the dust. Lastly, thank Amazon and "Made in China" to bring such affordable products. Otherwise, will have to spend 5X more easily to get pro... Overall, highly recommended.

Long life!!!
This bit is by far the longest lasting that I’ve ever used. I spray a ‘zep professional spray bottle’ onto the bit as I cut to extend the life of the bit and this bit is on hole #142. I probably did about 120 holes through ceramic and block and 22 holes through porcelain and block. SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED OF THE BIT AFTER 142 holes! It’s likely going to snap soon as the thickness of the bore is shaved down after so many passes that the 1/4 shank can’t hold anymore. But you can see the diamonds on the bit look nearly new!!! Even on the tip!

Worked like a charm!
Worked like a charm on very hard porcelain tile. Made short work of what could have been a lengthy and highly difficult series of hole cuts! Very pleased with this tools performance. A+

Worked good for one hole
It would not thread completely into a standard hole saw mandrel (2nd pic) Made it about half way and it locked down like the thread pitch was off. Put it in a vice and locked it down w a wrench. Sacrificed a mandrel for it, no biggie. Start real slow and angled till u get a groove then straighten up. Worked good and was 1/3 the price of one at Lowe’s and HD. The granite core stayed stock in bit so I either have to figure out how to beat it out or it’s a one and done bit. If I have more than one hole to do keep that in mind. Would buy it again.
