This cold therapy machine was a life saver after my full knee replacement surgery. It was easy to use. The directions were clear. It was the perfect size. The velcro straps were easy to apply and covered the knee. It stayed cold and you could adjust temperature and time length. It is so durable I will be using it for my second knee replacement next year.

Great ice therapy machine for a reasonable price. Easy to set up with water, ice and frozen bottles. Stays cold for hours and soothes knee pain from surgery and after intense therapy sessions. Velcro straps provide custom fit to your knee. Built in timer and flow intensity is a great plus. It’s recommended that you ice your knee for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Hand held remote makes it easy to set and forget. Fall asleep or read without worry. Soft side cooler is easy to move and keeps ice water cold for hours. When done using, it can be emptied, wiped dry snd folded up for storage in original box. Much better than renting machine or expensive hard sided coolers. I used it for 8 weeks after TKR and found it very helpful and easy to use.

My wife's knee replacement surgery was nearly a month ago so this review is based on REAL usage. It was been fine. Easy to set up. Easy to maintain. At first I would dump the water every night. After awhile I realized it was much easier to simply scoop part of the water out with a sauce pan. This allows us to leave the unit conveniently next to our recliner. We then refill with a sauce pan of cold water. Much easier than toting the unit. We then add one tray of ice cubes, one cold pack, and one or two coke bottles of frozen water. The coke bottles float and fit easily into the spacious unit.The remote control is a standout feature. Setting it to automatically switch one and off with the timer is a huge advantage. After a week or so we made a few 'upgrades'. First I added a aquarium thermometer with a submerged sensor. This allows us to monitor the water temperature. We try to stay in the upper 30's to low 40's temperature range. The unit is so well insulated it holds the cold temperature for 4 to 6 hours easily. Our second 'upgrade' was to use ball bungee cords instead of the velcro straps to hold the pad in place. The velcro straps were strong but difficult for my wife to pull apart. We replaced them with easy to use ball bungee cords. She can put them on and undo them easily and they hold the pads nearly as tight. I also want to mention how quiet the unit is. Since the pump is inside the insulated unit you hear nothing more than a slight hum. A third improvement we made was to run the two wires going to the remote inside a flexible sleeve meant to harness wires. The flexible sleeve works like a charm to keep the wires from tangling.There are many icy therapy machines out there but they all function the same way. We are extremely happy with our choice. The price was a true bargain and it has proven to be easy to use and very effective. My wife's staples are out, she is nearly done with PT, and has started to drive again. We are convinced the "Ice Machine" was a huge help in her recovery.

I was looking for a cold therapy machine for my husband and thought I'd buy the one my daughter had. Then I saw this one that was cheaper and got much better reviews. LOVE IT! Much lighter weight and easier to maneuver than hard sided plastic ones. Just load with ice (frozen bottled water is easiest), fill with water, plug in and turn on. Works for shoulders, elbows and knees. Highly recommend!

This is our second ice machine and what an improvement over the last one from a different company. This machine is basically a soft-side cooler but works incredibly well. The pump piece is small leaving a lot of room for many frozen pop bottles to keep the water icy for hours. Easy to carry or move, not a large footprint in the room. The hose just comes out of the reservoir where the zipper is so there could be some splash if you’re clumsy with it but it never leaked. We’d recommend and buy again if we needed another. Hard not to be happy with this one!

For the price point this is a great buy! I borrowed another brand for my two knee replacements. I purchased this one for a complicated foot surgery. Why I gave it 4 star is the pump is free floating so when pulling and adjusting it is relatively easy to displace the pump from the water. Because it zips closed the ice does not stay cold as long as an enclosed cooler system. What I do like is that it is quiet, easier to clean, easier to apply the cooling surface, and the attachment of the cooling surface is easier while being equally secure. I liked it well enough that I sent one to a relative for their ankle surgery. They found it the be very effective and pain relieving.

Definitely worth the money. My wife had knee replacement surgery and used this machine for rehab and recovery. Knee replacement surgery is not easy but with the consistent cold therapy this unit provided recovery was more tolerable. Easy hook-up and dependable cold therapy was necessary and this machine did the job. Yes she had to be hooked-up, but the cold therapy helped with inflammation and with pain management and the ability to customize the time icing all adds up to our recommendation of this cold therapy machine. It is mobile, the velcro straps provided were the right size and the unit was reliable and durable. 5 stars

Easy to set up, works great! It stays cold for long time, the Velcro straps and super strong, and comfortable to wear on a knee or ankle or wherever.
