Amazonis allows to extend the game a few generations, due to the increased global parameters scale, and the bigger maps allows players who love terraforming have a feast. Vastitas is nice too. Having custom maps allows more variety, which means more fun

This is the best map expansion because amazonis allows you to extend the game which is important if you're playing with a lot of people.

Get this for your 4-5 player games...period....the standard boards are fantastic for 2-3 player games, but at the higher play count of 4-5, the games tend to end quickly just when you start to get money, resources to build cities, greeneries, etc. It's a must have if your a TM fan.

The Amazonis map is not compatible with the Automa expansion (against the bot) but can be played with solo rules. You have more terraforming to do and only a bit more time to do complete your goals when playing Amazonis solo. It feels like you get 1.5 maps for 1p play instead of 2 maps when you get this expansion, but that’s fine with me. I’m not going to lower my rating because of that, but I wish it was communicated better. For multiplayer, it’s nice having a map that delivers the 2-3p game pacing for 4-5 players when you have 4-5 players and more time. I wasn’t a huge fan of the base game at high player counts and the Amazonis alleviates that.
