Thank you for your question. No, Wi-Fi jammers can disrupt the signals of cellular and Wi-Fi-based home security systems. But our system is not Wi-Fi-based home security system, our system is Power Over Ethernet (PoE) camera system, the WiFi doesn't affect the recording of the camera system as long as the poe wires are connected between the cameras and NVR. The only thing that the camera system need from your network is when you would like to remotely view or playback the video outside your house, then you need to connect the NVR to your network router via a network cable.

Q: Can you use a usb wifi adaptor with this? i.e instead of losing a lan cable

For the WIFI adaptor, I don't think it will work, but we never tested it before.
