Q: Is there any place to go to get instructions on how to use this device? I have a lot of parts and I don't know what they are for. Thank you.

So I just received this and was super confused too. Appearantly all you have to do is tighten it and everything will lock into whatever position it's in when you tighten it.

Q: Can I use this to mount an external flash?

The arm should be strong enough. You should be able to find a threaded 1/4-in adapter to mount your flash. If you are using professional equipment, many pro flash units are equipped with a 1/4-in threaded mount. You may also consider using this mount for slave flash unit (with or without reflector), for use as a secondary or fill-light.

Q: I am hoping to mount a Arlo solar panel outside. Will this rust?

I'm not sure about the rust. I tried to find what it was made out of but I would ask this question directly to the company.

Q: Could I safely attach this to my roof rack for mountain driving?
