I’ve been using the NEEWER 67mm ND2-400 Variable ND Filter on my Sony A7III with a 24-70mm lens, and it’s been a brilliant addition to my setup. The 1–9 stop range is perfect for video work, especially when trying to keep that cinematic shutter speed (1/50) in bright conditions. It lets me shoot wide open without overexposing, which is ideal for getting that nice background blur outdoors. The adjustment ring is smooth and easy to control, so I can quickly dial in exposure on the fly while filming. Image quality is solid too — I’ve noticed very minimal colour shift, and sharpness holds up well for a filter at this price point. Build quality is better than expected. It feels lightweight but durable, screws onto my lens cleanly, and comes with a cap and case which is a nice bonus. At the highest ND settings, you can get a slight “X pattern,” but that’s pretty normal for variable ND filters and easy to avoid by not pushing it to the extreme. Overall, this is a great value ND filter and works perfectly with the Sony A7III for both video and photography. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to control exposure.

Item is good but cap is always falling off.

Great quality filter and from my tests does not give the X effect. Have been using it on the insta360 one RS one inch mod, with an adapter I found on eBay. Works great for motion blur as a motorbike helmet camera. There are no hard end stops or f stops so you have to gauge it yourself but it does have a really good friction effect so once you set it, it’s not going to slip without intent. The lens cap is a bit cheap, but it does fit. It doesn’t clip in very well but if you clip i and then give it a bit of a turn, it locks in ok. Would be nice to have a back cover too but for the price, you can’t have it all.

Excellent product and excellent price

I've used this product on photo and videos and it works really well - especially on videos. With photos, at times the photos come out a lot darker than what it shows on the LCD screen/viewfinder when taking the image, but this could be down to user error. Otherwise, a fantastic filter to allow for shallow depth of field photo and video e.g. f2.0 in the middle of the day!

Excellent quality and came with a lens cap too

Got th 49mm version to use on Oamo action 4 with an adapter. It wlrks pretty well, comes wkth a lens cap which is handy as VNDs are alway ladged than their filter size. The VND dpes give a cross artifact at the extremes of the NDrating but its to be expected at this price point.

Does what it says on the box .

Se vi piace fare video con il telefono, questo filtro è magico. L'ho montato sul mio iPhone (tramite un adattatore) per risolvere il problema dei video troppo luminosi o "scattosi" quando c'è molto sole. La cosa bella è la praticità: invece di portarsi dietro tanti filtri diversi, con questo basta ruotare la ghiera per scurire l'immagine quanto serve. Si passa da una riduzione leggera (ND2) a una molto forte (ND400) in un attimo. Costruzione solida e ottima resa dei colori. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole alzare il livello dei propri video in modo semplice.

Très pratique, il suffit de tourner la bague pour que le filtre fonce. Cela évite de transporter plusieurs filtres et de s’adapter très vite au condition de lumière. Livré avec un bouchon et une boîte solide. Parfait.

Llevo un tiempo usando este filtro ND variable en mi Nikon D7000 con el objetivo 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED, principalmente para fotografía de paisajes y grabación de vídeo. En general, cumple su función, aunque tiene algunos aspectos mejorables. ✅ Lo mejor: • Versatilidad: Permite ajustar la densidad sin necesidad de cambiar filtros, lo cual es muy práctico cuando la luz cambia rápidamente. • Precio asequible: En comparación con filtros ND de marcas más caras, ofrece una buena relación calidad-precio. • Buena reducción de luz: Para exposiciones largas y vídeos con el obturador adecuado, funciona bien hasta niveles medios de oscurecimiento. • Fácil de usar: El anillo gira suavemente y se ajusta bien al objetivo sin que se afloje. ❌ Lo peor: • Efecto X en altas densidades: A partir de ND200-ND400 aparece un cruce en la imagen (el famoso “efecto X”), lo que lo hace casi inutilizable en los niveles más oscuros. • Pérdida de nitidez: En ciertos niveles intermedios, la imagen pierde un poco de nitidez, sobre todo en los bordes. • Dominante de color: Tiende a añadir un tono ligeramente cálido o verdoso, lo que obliga a corregir en postproducción. ⭐ Conclusión: Es un buen filtro ND variable para fotografía y vídeo en situaciones de luz controlada, especialmente si no se usa en sus valores más extremos. Por el precio que tiene, es una opción decente para aficionados, pero si buscas la mejor calidad óptica, es mejor invertir en un ND de densidad fija de una marca más premium.
