Hot Tools Curling Iron, Rainbow Gold, 1 Inch

Love this curling iron. What isn't to like about it? The temperature is variable and I can get just the right amount of heat without damage. The color and look are incredible. The diameter gives just the right amount of curl that holds pretty tight. It is very fast to heat up and the swivel cord never gets tangled. I had quite a few ladies over for a new years party getting ready for the fancy back tie evening event; everyone wanted to know where they could get one. The coloring caught everyone's attention and then no matter how many times we adjusted the temp or handed it around, the cord would just turn the way it needed and the curls kept coming. Most of us were done by the time the 'professional' curling iron one of the ladies brought was warm enough to help out. The price is good too. I hope it lasts because that would be the final crowning touch.

Ok, LOVE this curling iron! The rainbow gold detail is just fun, but the swivel cord makes this product super easy to use - no chord tangles! I also like having the option to adjust the temperature. Hot Tools are great products and on Amazon are at a great price point. 1.25 inch curling iron gives the perfect curl weather you have short or long hair. I use this on short/medium length hair and it works great.

This is my second review. The curling iron is esthetically pleasing, but is infuriating to use. The temperature knob will not stay at the temperature you set unless you tape it in place. It takes much longer to curl my hair in the morning because the dial resets itself to the lowest temperature,t is barely hot ,and it does not curl at all. I paid around $35 for this product, and am really disappointed that it has this major flaw. I am very disappointed in the quality, would not purchase this brand again.

The only thing that I will comment on that is a small drawback is this curling iron does not have automatic shut-off. I didn't really think about that before making my purchase and in honesty I can understand why it doesn't because it is a professional quality tool and professionals would not want their curling irons to turn off all day long but in any case just something to think about for the home user. In general I love this curling iron as it works really well.

The curling iron works well and I love the rainbow barrel. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the on-off switch is broken. If this curling iron is plugged in, it is on. There's no turning it off. Obviously there's an easy fix (unplug the freaking thing) but I was in the habit of leaving my curling iron plugged in and turned off. Petty complaint, I know, but this did take some adjustment to remember; I almost left the thing plugged in, and therefore on, all day several times.

My daughter bought this for me as a surprise. Its the BEST curling iron I have ever used, and I'm in my 40's and have used many, many, many brands over the years, I adore my hot tools rainbow gold iron, and its worth every penny, Love, 100%

I bought this product because it was rated on a top 10 beauty items list. However, I'm not a huge fan. I don't know if my curling iron is defective, or just weak, but the clamp doesn't clamp down well on its own. Because it doesn't clamp down tight, it quite often slips right through my hair meaning I have to section it off and retry sometimes 3 or 4 times. I use my thumb to push up on the underside of the clamp to get it to clamp down, but that usually means a burnt thumb. It does heat up well, and once I get a good clamp it curls just fine, but the clamp itself makes it out to be a pain to use. Also, the on/off button is now broken. It is constantly in the on position, so I can still use it, but I have to definitely make sure to keep my curling iron unplugged because I can no longer use the switch to turn it off.So bottom line, buy at your own risk. The clamp is terrible, and the on/off switch broke after only a few months, but it does a fine job curling if you can get a good clamp on your hair.

I love may hair curled. To curl my hair I've tried MANY tools to achieve this desired look. I've tried wands, flat irons, and even the curl secret. Not only is this curling iron beautiful, it gets hot and makes a gorgeous curl. I let the curl cool, then I spray, and fluff for a voluminous look. The one thing I would say is, the clamp handle has started to bend down but I just pull it up and it stays in place for a while.

This product produces beautiful curls and is safe in terms of preserving the integrity of the hair as the iron has adjustable heat settings. I use this product on myself and clients in my salon. I would recommend this curling iron to anyone that wants salon quality curls without the high price point.

Le fer est beau et fonctionne bien, mais je suis déçue qu'il ne soit pas comme sur la photo. Le manche est noir au lieu de violet. En plus, il est fait dans ce genre de plastique caouchouté qui avec le temps devient collant, on dirait que ce style d'enduit n'est pas fait pour durer plusieurs années. Je vais quand même le garder, mais ça serait bien que le vendeur ajuste ses images conformément à sa marchandise. Il y avait deux ressorts supplémentaires pour pouvoir changer celui sur le fer, au besoin. J'ai trouvé ça sympa, mais les instructions n'indiquent pas comment changer le ressort.
