Silkland Right Angle USB 4 Cable 40Gbps for Thunderbolt 4/3, 240W, 3.3FT

I had an issue with the cable that I received where the signal was cutting in and out when connected to my M1 Max MacBook Pro and Apple Studio Display. The screen would glitch out and turn black for a second or so every so often, but did not occur at a fixed rate. I reached out to the seller and although it took a couple of days they mailed a replacement. In the mean time I reverted back to the shorter cable that the setup had come with and things were working without any issues. Upon connecting the replacement from Silkland everything started working without issue, and has continued to work without the screen timing out. So, I would say happy with my purchase as long as it continues to work.

I bought this Silkland Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 cable to connect an M3 Thunderbolt 4 MacBook Pro to an OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock and it has worked out extremely well. I get ~40gbps data rate and 90W of USB PD power delivery with it and have successfully tested power delivery to 140W. I don’t currently have a way to test 240W (48V/5A). The cable is well-made, has an ”elegant” nylon braid, and the cable is thick but not too stiff. The connectors are clearly marked with speed and power delivery ratings. This has been an outstanding cable and I have ordered more to improve connectivity and reduce visible wires and clutter in my setup.

Happy so far with this USB 4 cable. I use it to simultaneously provide both power and a 4K video feed to an external monitor for my laptop, and to connect to an external hard drive enclosure used to record video from a video switcher.

I got this to connect my SSD to my laptop for transferring large photo and video files. I shoot a lot and wanted to start storing everything externally. I didn’t think cables mattered that much until I tried this one. I’ve had it about four months now and it’s been great. I use it to connect my SSD and export files from my phone, and the transfer speeds are noticeably faster than the random cables I used before. The quality stands out right away. It’s thick, durable, and even when you bend it, it keeps its shape. The right-angle design is one of the best parts. When it’s plugged into my laptop and I slide my SSD into the pouch attached to it, everything sits clean and tight instead of sticking out awkwardly. It just feels more practical. I honestly keep it connected to my laptop most of the time. Wherever I go, it goes. It’s pretty much a must in my setup now. I’d buy it again, and I’ve even thought about getting a second one.

It's a good cable but it does not work as a VR cable. So now I is it as a extra long cable for computer's, laptops, and phones. For VR headsets go with USB C-C active fiber optic. I found this out the hard way.

I'm a creative director that works in Photoshop, Illustrator, Powerpoint, Premier, all of it. I got a great price on the LATEST Apple Studio Display. But it didn't come with a cable. So I go to Apple.com. I about die at the price - $129?!?! Went to Amazon, found this one.... WHAT'S IN THE BOX? A 3 foot cable, perfect if you Macbook and display will be next to each other. PROS 1. Everything works! It charges the laptop, lets you use/control the Studio Display brightness, sound, and camera! 2. No degradation in video quality, speed... nothing! 3. The price. Hello. Apple wants $129 for a Thunderbolt cable?!?! And this cost how much? $17.99?! CONS 1. Zero. Did I say everything works! OVERALL If you need a cable to connect your Macbook M1-M4 series laptop or Apple computer to an Apple Studio display requiring a Thunderbolt connection, and you LOVE your money, then save over $100 and get this one.

It’s perfect. If my device can handle the L plug for charging it keeps the cord out of the way, but my tablet is in a shockproof case and can’t use the L or 90 degree plug so I flip it around since I have a C type charge block and use the straight end. It’s made of good woven strength. It power charges super fast and It’s compatible with all my C type devices. I can use it to data transfer reliably from one device to another. I loose no quality of sound when using it with my headphones and iPhone to listen to music. We love it.

I bought this to replace the USB-C cable supplied with my Dell Monitor to connect to my XPS13. As a one cable solution it was excellent. However, it was too long at 2m and inflexible, which was annoying. This Silkland offering appears to be a quality cable that at 1m is the right length and it is much more flexible which means that it has solved the problems of the Dell cable. The 90 plug at the laptop keeps the cabling neat, the braiding should help longevity and looks good and the power rating and data transfer speeds are all i needd to sopply power and video between the monitor and laptop. I have no problem recommending this cable for quality on offer and the price paid.
