I needed to replace a Lorex system that worked well for 6 years. It just stopped working. I intended to replace it with the same model, but was surprised at the price! I decided to take a gamble on this one, which was within our price point. I prefer a chorded system to avoid the security and privacy issues with WiFi based cameras. Running cables takes time and patience, but it's manageable. The project took a week to complete, but I wasn't working at it full time. A few hours most days, 5 hours not he final day. You have to know where it's safe to drill, which means you must know where electrical and plumbing run in the walls. In the end, you'll know your home better, and you get secure video. 1. The video is excellent quality. Color is amazing, very deep and detailed. 2. The cameras are pan-tilt design so you can move them 180 degrees around the horizon, downward vertically 90 degrees from the horizon, and upward around 60 degrees. It covers much more area than the previous stationery Lorex system. The controls are easy to navigate on the screen of the base (you need to buy a separate color monitor...we found one on MarketPlace for $20) and on the phone app. 3. "Smart Software" controls the monitoring functions, and will move the cameras to follow people or cars that enter a perimeter you define. That part is just amazing. I watched a lad from the Post Office coming to the front door today; the camera starting following him as soon as he was in view, tracked in to the door, and continued tracking him as he walked back down the driveway, got into the USPS truck and drove off! 4. There is a dual light mode that runs InfraRed at night, giving a flat, gray video feed, but immediately switches to color white light when motion is detected. You have the option of running the white lights, and color video feed, all the time, but it's not as nice as it sounds because you'll have those bright lights on all night. We run the Dual mode. It works great. 5. The instruction manual is not terrible, but not great either. For example, the explanation of how to enable Dual Light Mode is nonexistent. I searched the web and found other people had figured it out and used their solution. 6. Play back is easy with excellent resolution. Controls on the main unit (via a monitor), as well as those on the app, are intuitive and easy to use. 7. I like the CAT7 cables used to supply power and commands, as well as carry video. Our old system required coax and separate power cables, and was awkward to install. 8. They provide plenty of cable for most setups. I had 2 cameras in more remote locations that required more cable than was included. I bought 2 splicing adapters and two, 25 feet CAT7 extensions that made it work for me. NOTE: Each camera has an18 in cable pigtail with several large adapters. It cannot be removed from the housing. To mount the camera flush with the outside walls I would have to drill a large hole to accommodate all that, which I wasn't willing to do. I bought metal junction boxes that solved the problem. I attach the camera to the box, which has plenty of room for the extra cable and adapters, and I only needed to drill a small hole for the CAT connector. They are solid, but I did need to drill out the holes of the HISEEU bracket just a bit to accommodate their screws. Very happy with this camera! It's plug and play, the quality of the camera is excellent and has a lot of good features. It was very easy to mount and came with all hardware to accomplish this. We bought this camera due to its ability to pan 300°, 90° tilt function and cover a large area. The two-way audio is excellent added. The motion detection is great as well .The night vision on the camera is great quality! The app on your phone to operate the cameras is very easy to use. We have been using this company since 2024 and I'm very happy with this products and customer service for any questions they respond timely and efficiently would highly recommend this product

I have set up a cctv in our manufacturing plant but with a branded cctv. I wanted to setup another one in our house but I don’t want to spend so much money with the same brand we’re using in our plant. So I checked on amazon and found this product..At first, I was hesitant but maybe worth of try since it have a good reviews. When I received the product I tested it right away. And I was surprised that this product has the same powerful features as we have on our plant cctv. There three ways you can view the cameras. First is the monitor connected to the NVR, second is through webpage so you can view it to your laptop or pc. Just make sure to have the same subnet with your NVR NIC. Then the last one is through CP App that you can view your cameras online wherever you are. The only thing I was concerned was the sound coming from the hard drive like I have read in some of the reviews. Hopefully they could fixed it. It is working but cannot guarantee it will last.
