This is my go-to DOT 4 brake fluid, and I’ve been using it on my 25-year-old BMW for years. I recently performed a full brake fluid flush and bleed, and this fluid really brought my braking power back to what it felt like when the car was new. Of course, changing the pads and rotors at the same time helped, but the brake fluid itself made a noticeable difference. Since my BMW uses the same reservoir for the clutch, I was also able to bleed the clutch with this fluid, which resulted in smoother shifting. Reliable, high-quality brake fluid that I’ll continue to use.

I am in the habit of changing my brake fluid occasionally. I live in a part of the country that usually has very high humidity. Brake fluid absorbs that moisture and that is the limiting factor on brake fluid life in these humid areas. If a vehicle is only rarely driven or only on short drives, it often doesn't ever get hot enough to force off the water. So, here I am, swapping my brake fluid. This DOT4 fluid is a spec-meeting fluid with a nice package of corrosion and oxidation inhibitors (yes, I checked). It also has a moisture control additive that doesn't stop hygroscopic water gain, but does stop it affecting fluid performance. Brake fluid is one of those problem fluid that the interval is so long you forget. So just change it every 50K or 3 years and you're golden. Do it yourself. It's easy.
