It includes Latin and Greek root words, prefixes and suffixes, commonly confused words, and more! Each vocab list is short (10-15 words) and comes with 3 different exercises. If you combine the worksheets with Quizlet, students quickly and easily learn the words and can use them in sentences. I'm a private English tutor (former teacher), and I use this with my 5th-7th grade students all the time. My only complaint is that the book doesn't get harder as you work your way through it. It would be nice if it started out easy and then slowly progressed to harder words in order to challenge the students. Still, it is a wonderful book, and I highly recommend it! Review: Shipped quickly, all as advertised. - Bought for 13-year-old Homeschooler. Nice setup gives 10 definitions on first page of each lesson, followed by 3 quick pages of reinforcement, quick answer, multiple choice or fill-in-the-blank questions. Each 4 page lesson has a topic, like Antonyms, Synonyms, Greek Roots, Latin Roots, Easily Misspelled, Science terms, etc. The words covered are advanced, but not impossible, words you can really use. I like that each lesson relates vocabulary words with a theme, and gives a quick overview of different Language Arts skills with each lesson. My daughter appreciates the short answers, as she has a hard time with books that require lots of writing.

An Excellent Resource!
I got these books for my twin boys, and they are working through them very quickly and retaining the information. It’s a great book to help them merge to the seventh grade!

Fun book
This book is fun and my daughter enjoys working on it because she likes to solve the puzzles at the end of each page. You have to complete the vocabulary questions to get the code to solve the puzzle. I do wish that they had more practice for each set of words in order to help the child to learn the meanings better. Some of the definitions are also overly complex but overall, this is a good book.

GOOD HOMESCHOOL VOCAB BOOK!
This book is awesome! Just started homeschooling because they are NOT teaching the things in public school that my child should ALREADY know! She was complaining about having to doing vocabulary. By the end of the first section (the first 4 pages) she knew 10 new vocabulary words and their meanings. Plus the synonyms for those words, and their meanings as well. I give this book high marks for that because she is a STUBBORN child that doesn't like learning! If they can accomplish that with her.....than other kids will do even better.

Awesome resource- Do not hesitate to buy!
This is an EXCELLENT resource. In our family, I purchased two copies and used one for my seventh grader to practice the words and complete the activities Monday-Wednesday each week, and the other copy was used as the assessment on Thursdays. We completed one lesson per week. My son has always struggled with spelling and definitions. Not only has his vocabulary improved, but he ENJOYS using this book! Do not hesitate to purchase this resource!

Great vocabulary book. Highly Recommended.
I bought this book for my 4th grader. This is the right level for her since she is quite strong in her vocabulary for her grade. I was looking for a vocabulary lesson book that can be challenged for her and she won't feel too overwhelmed. This book is perfect for her. She loves it very much and find it very interesting and can't stop working on the exercises every night. I highly recommend this book.

I would have given 5 stars is the book didn’t come used
I like this book it is great for my 8th grader but the book came used. There are a few chapters that were completed which was disappointing. I just erased the answers but we can still see the answers that were written.

Discovered over the last 4 years how important it is to have a decent vocabulary base. This will help to improve that with my 20 year old grandson who is with me for on line distance learning due to Covid. You can never have too broad a vocabulary and they don’t concentrate on it enough in school

Excellent for practicing vocabulary, especially for 11+ children. Children are able to do it on their own without parents’ help.
