I bought this to use for work and travel. It’s about the size of a standard backpack. Like others mentioned, you absolutely need a screwdriver to put the wheel frame together, but it’s quick and easy to do. The frame is also very easy to detach if you just want to use it as a regular backpack. The outermost zipper pocket ‘appears’ to also have a Velcro pocket front like you’d want for quick access things like a chapstick or phone charger, but it’s just a decoration, and it’s only actually a zipper pocket- not a problem, just an interesting feature. When I went to open the backpack and check it out, there was an area of the zipper that was sewn TO the inside of the backpack. It’s easy enough to release if you’re crafty though, so not a problem, but make sure you check the backpack over before you need to use it.
