Women's Flexees Shapewear Firm Control Brief

I have an Inguinal hernia and bought this Brief Firm Control to see if it would "hold it in". It got to the point where standing would be uncomfortable and I would have to "push it in" and sometimes that got a little more difficult. I looked at the special support items made just for hernias but they look so uncomfortable. I had this hernia repaired 11 years ago and it came back a year later. I really don't want to have the surgery again.My results- It works! It is very firm support that holds it in. I can now stand for long periods without any pain or discomfort. I also noticed that If I don't wear it, just to give me a break, the hernia seems to stay in. I did researched and found that you can make them better over time by doing this. This of course is just my result so far. It isn't healed at this point but so much better.I have since bought more of these. Based on others feedback I got the x larger. My normal would be a medium. I figured, because I sew, I can take it in if need. That's why I got the x large. Unfortunately, I didn't need to take it in ;-o.

Flexees -well after my first order to fit me... they came and did not fit.. So i sent back and order the next size.. and I am so happy I did.. These fit perfectly, Exactly as described!!! Maybe it might be best to order your next larger size.. I really feel that wearing these beautiful[and they really are beautiful] panties, that i go Down ONE size, maybe more--and that is in a straight dress. NO Tummy or Excess hips.. So pleased with these Flexees!!! I know I will be ordering more in the future, and definitely Do recommend them .ps they do not fit tight, just comfortable.. wish they were less then $12.00 a pair, but they do as they say.

I'm 5'3", 114-118 lbs, athletic build, waist 28 1/2, hips 37 1/2. I ordered size XL after reading others comments because I like the brand and historically go up in size for these "firm control" garments. My normal size would be M according to the charts. The actual waist measurement on this XL brief, un-stretched, after 1 washing was 26 1/2" !That said, even ordering 2 sizes up I felt a bit uncomfortable around the waist area. It only caused a very small indent in the areas above my back waist, not too bad. The garment is very well made and smoothing. I think it would be perfect for me in an XXL. I have never like to be squeezed tightly and understand it is not even healthy for circulation, but each person is different. I like the fact it fits high on the waist because usually the firm garments that ride lower really cause a muffin top even on a very normal weight person. It does flatten the bum a little, perhaps one size larger would help that. One element that I notice missing in most affordable control garments compared to years ago is the extra gathers in the back leg area that help to shape. I think it would be a good value once the correct size is found.

Maidenform has a nice product line & has a good reputation for quality. I purchased this online due to my stores not carrying them in stock any longer. I do feel the price was very much steep though compared to what I’ve purchased in the past. My measurements are literally identical to for the XL size which is what I got. The problem was how this new design from what I had in the past was when I sat the top was higher so it would roll down. It was also very tight around my inner panty area. I purchased this for a wedding. I decided this was too uncomfortable even to wear for one day. My dress was not tight nor loose but these were noticeable believe it or not & again it’s the design- the material is thicker. Unless you have the perfect body size of the model be weary that these will work for you. The reviews I read were mixed but I went with them anyway. I would’ve been in the bathroom awhile getting these back into place. Just overall a bad fit & design personally for me. We all have different bodies so these may work for some. I do recommend going one size up if you are considering. •••Also there certainly is no stretch to the material. My 3 star reflects the material being soft & pretty & the fact this could’ve worked for me. The sizing doesn’t take away from the quality of the product. These are best to try on in a store. Purchasing online is a good chance it’ll be a return. Unfortunately I returned.

I needed something to just give me a little support. Well, Maidenform has never failed me, and they didn't this time either. Perfect fit, smooth fabric so when you slide your pants on, they SLIDE not stick to weird fabric. I will order another in beige. Very happy with my purchase.

wish I could return it , waste of money , they will only take it back if it is unopened [stated on enclosed sheet], how can you see if it will work for you if you can not try it on ??The minute I tried it on the waste band flipped over and it started to roll down ,I believe it is due to the fact that the waist band is so very narrow and almost nonexistent , not because it is too small .I am a real woman size 14 and need the lower belly support due to a hysterectomy I had many years ago, I ordered this to help me with my lower belly bulge but I sure do not need an item cutting into my waistline .trash , don't bother.
