Impressive
I wanted to put a car sub into a home theater setting for music listening in the garage. Figured I would hook it up to a plate amp. This amp was best bang for buck for its claimed power output. I didn't expect TOO much out of this set up so I built a sub box out of 1/2" osb scrap from work, especially since the sub is dvc wired in series from 2ohm to 4ohm. It's actually performing so well that I now plan to build a proper box out of 3/4" mdf to actually get the full performance out of the amp and sub. This sub is rated at 800w rms btw. I'm impressed with this amp. I've only had it for a month so if it fails I'll come back and update

Excellent performance
I installed this in a Klipsch R-121SW and although I had to modify the opening slightly I am very pleased with the result. It sounds better than the oem amp. Hopefully it will last longer than the 3 oem amps I had to replace over the last 5 years. I highly recommend this product.

Fantastic amp.
This is a great plate amp, rather for a diy of to replace a faulty one . I bought this to replace the amp in my M&k 12" not because it was bad but for the amazing amount of frequency control you can achieve with it over your standard frequency and gain knobs. I have two other subs in my av room and all my speakers are Klipsch including two spl 10" subs and this allows me to fine tune the frequencies to match those .

Good Amp but needs more product specification in the description
*Important* This amp is not happy outside of 4 ohm. I purchased this for a subwoofer project. A three chamber cabinet with two 4-ohm 10" dual voice coil subwoofers (125-250 watts RMS). Once wired properly (the amp is 4 ohm stable) in series-parallel, this amp drives the subs without much issue. Good product for the price point. Pros: Good frequency response and adjustable crossover While slightly underpowered for the subwoofers, delivers clean sound with minimal distortion. Cons: Plastic back plate. Deforms too easily and is not a good at heat dissipation. Product information is not informative enough and not product manual. I should not have to have had to experiment as much as I did.

Holy Bass Response!
I have a powered 12" subwoofer enclosure that I use in my outdoor movie theater where the built in plate amplifier got wet and failed despite me keeping it covered (strong storm I guess). So I replaced it with this one. I had to cut my enclosure a little to make it fit properly, but the connections were easy and OMG! I get soo much bass without even turning up the gain very much. Amazing experience!

Best for Basic Home Theater Use
This product seems to be aimed at the home theater market, so my use in a music system is not ideal. I've been thinking about returning it, but I cut-out my speaker cabinet to fit, so replacing with something different would be a lot of work. My application - updating older JBL 10" sub used to cover the below 50Hz range in my living room music system. Pros: -Reasonable price - was $30 off the day I ordered it. -Worked when I turned it on right out of the box. -Plenty of power for my use. Cons: -Makes a "zip" noise when I power on and off from my systems main power strip. (Wish it had "trigger in" power control and a time delay relay on the speaker output) -No option to turn-off 45Hz bass boost circuit. Selections are +6 or +12 db of bass boost, but no flat response option. -Auto On doesn't seem to respond to my normal music listening volume. -Sketchy User Guide. No mounting cutout template or dimensions. No pin out wiring info for balanced input or explanation for use of balanced output jack (daisy chain additional subs?) Best for a home theater to create a booming thunder storm IMHO

Monoprice 15” 41499 Replacement Option
Worked great as a replacement for my 15” Monoprice 41499 powered subwoofer. It took a little modification but I can say my sub sounds better than it did before the original amp went out. I read a lot of forums saying Monoprice will not sell just the amp so you’re forced to buying a whole new enclosure. Stumbled across this and thought I’d give it a try. Worth it!

NICER THAN NICE
Very well behaved throughout the bandwidth. No surging! Deserves a good enclosure.
