If your looking for action that puts you on the edge of your seat more than the Bond or Bourne offerings then this film is for you, shot in a range of colors that portrays the harshness of Berlin just before the wall came down our heroine goes from one frantic situation to another, collecting more bruises and cuts as she goes on her path of searching for the truth. And from what I have learnt from the background of the making of this film she does most of the stunts herself, the tension never lets up as we see the baddies chasing a wrist watch that has some hidden secrets ( long before the days of flash drives ) A really good entertaining story, and I hope to see more of this actresses work on similar subjects in the future.

Charlize Theron shoots ,stabs, kicks , punches and bludgeons her way out of the constant sh**storms she is dropped into by MI6 . The fight sequences very realistic can't see any body doubles here for Charlize .. the story has a couple of twists in it , set against the backdrop of the collapse of communist East Berlin . Good soundtrack to boot ... !

This is a great film directed beautifully from the producer of 'John Wick', yes, odd but true, i've since watching this seen both Wick films and not been overly impressed as Blonde is so much better , it has a plot for a start. Theron is an ice cold blonde killer and she is wonderful in the role ,unlike Wick's 2D hero ,think along the lines of Lady Penelope without the strings and a wardrobe thats just as killer as she is . The bad guys are , without being dull or stupid and all this is played out in Berlin in the last days of the wall ,so cold war tension abounds , one of the things that James Bond lacks today sadly as that is his setting , hmm why dont they make Bond films set in there time setting like you would expect from a Christie or a Conon Doyle ? odd. The other reason why this is worth your time is the sound track ,its 89 and we're talking New Order Bowie and Depech Mode , spot on there .If your too young to remember those , this is a good way of finding out what great music sounds like and worth investigating .The film makeing is very important to me as im a fan of Lean ,Leonie and Hichcock so just slapping it together won't work with me ,John Wick, im looking at you there, For someone whos known as a producer i wasn't expecting much but he did it ,i won't spoil the film for you but there is a stunning 7-8 min take on a stairwell between 3 actors and the camera ,non of which stops moving the whole time from beginning too end ,with the camera in the right place all the time , that scene alone makes this film worth watching ,its breathtaking ,honestly.If you've seen John Wick , and if it sounds like ive got it in for that film . your right ! i found it very receptive and dull , i fell asleep through both of them , thats how i know i was bored . Do yourself a big favour and give Wick a swerve and go strait for Atomic Blonde .PS The British cast in it are of corse top notch , Toby Jones is underplaying his part as a secret service minion , are you watching Bond franchise ? you might think about including him next time.

So this is not the most original plot or characters. If you know the spy story genre, you're going to recognise all of these "characters" immediately. It's also not the type of story that's going to blow your mind or leave you with some lingering life lesson. BUT, if you enjoy effective story-telling and kick-ass female leads, this movie is pretty awesome (and being a fan of Charlize Theron and James McAvoy doesn't hurt). There are so many good "frames" in this film and when you slow it down, you can see how well put together this film is; every scene and shot delivers so much in terms of mood and information which if you're into that kind of thing is stunningly rare. Originally I was sold on Theron and what looked like realistic fight scenes with a woman - it's rare to see a film with a woman taking a hit and getting banged up - a sort of female James Bond (a la Daniel Craig). Now I'll probably buy the movie just to study it!

I've heard War and peace is the most boring book on the planet. I have now come across a serious contender for that title but in DVD format. I give you Atomic Blonde. If I had a choice to get the family jewels roasted by a taser or watching this again then fire up the tazer. The film is sert in 1989 berlin and seems to be filmed in more or less very washed out Monochrome with pale bluish greys everywhere and the lighting seems to be less than 40 watts making everything so drab and depressing there is no colour anywhere why they do this to depict soviet era life I have no idea. . everything is bleak cold and really unpleasant and everything seems so uninviting it really makes for difficult watching. Charlize theron plays an "Elite" assassin named Lorraine Broughton an Mi6 agent who is sent to Berlin to find a swiss watch that has a microfilm inside that has all the names and contacts of operations currently in berlin. They could have replaced Theron with a Wooden Fence post she is so wooden and her lines were delivered in such a boring monotone it is really hard going trying to engage with the characters or the film in general. All through this film there is a LOT of smoking and drinking which after a time start to really grate on the nerves. This film is roughly 1 hour 50 minutes long and for me itis 1 hour 49 minutes too long. I can't even recommend this a a time waster on a wet sunday afternoon so for me it's another headed for the charity shops

Move over cruise, bye bye bond, this epic badass of an operative has made this film my favourite of 2017 without flinching [or waiting to see what else it brings]Charlize Theron is amazing in her role, with excellent supporting roles and cameos abound!Intelligent, smart, well shot and perfectly paced i cannot recommend this movie enough. So get your popcorn ready, hold tight and watch this movie from start to end without moving because it's one hell of a ride!

Abgesehen von ein paar kleinen Längen ein geiler Film. Insbesondere der Soundtrack bringt einen voll zurück in die 80iger. Cool inzenierte Action, eine Handlung mit mehr als einem überraschenden Twist und eine sehr stilvolle 80iger-Jahre Optik haben mich vollkommen überrascht, da ich eigentlich überhaupt nicht wusste, was für einen Film ich mir da bestellt hatte.Großes PLUS: DTS:X 7.1 Ton auch in Deutsch! Mehr davon!

Charlize Theron Aussehen reicht nicht um den Film lohnenswert zu machen. Ich hab ihr die Rolle irgendwie nicht abgenommen. Die Geschichte versucht "überraschend" zu wirken, ist es aber nicht. Also: Story, Schauspiel, Szenenbilder, Musik, all das hat mich nicht überzeugt.Was unglaublich gut ist: Die Qualität der UHD. Das Bild ist knack scharf, tolle Schwarzwerte. Vom sehen der Bilder her also ein Genuss. Trotzdem war etwas in mir froh, als der Streifen zu Ende war.

Berlin im Jahr 1989: Sowohl der Mauerfall als auch das Ende des Kalten Krieges stehen unmittelbar bevor. In der Stadt wird ein britischer Geheimagent, der eine Liste mit Undercover-Agenten bei sich hatte, getötet. Den Schlamassel in Ordnung bringen soll Agentin Lorraine Brougthon (Charlize Theron), die nach Berlin geschickt wird, um die Liste wieder zu beschaffen und den Doppelagenten "Satchel" ausfindig zu machen. Das erweist sich alles als gar nicht so einfach, denn nicht nur die Sowjets wollen Lorraine ans Leder.Atomic Blonde ist ein 2017 erschienener Film von David Leitch (Regie) und Kurt Johnstad (Drehbuch), die Vorlage lieferte der Graphic Novel The Coldest City. Kommen wir erst zum Positiven: Überzeugen kann in dem Film vor allem die Action, und von der gibt's reichlich. Dazu muss man lobend erwähnen, dass hier nicht durch Tricksereien wie hektische Schnitte und Kamera-Wackler wie in der Taken-Reihe (96 Hours) zu vertuschen versucht wurde, dass vor der Kamera eigentlich gar nichts passiert. Die Schauspieler - darunter auch Charlize Theron - bzw. die Stunt-Doubles liefern handgemachte Action-Choreografien der alten Schule ab. Ebenfalls gelungen ist die kalte Stimmung, erzeugt durch den Mix aus blassen Farben und grellem Neon.Nun jedoch zu den negativen Punkten: Die Story erweist sich als ziemlich dünn, hier wäre angesichts des Szenarios mit ausgiebig Platz für eine große Geschichte viel mehr drin gewesen. Außerdem kommt das ganze Setting im Berlin des Jahres 1989 nicht glaubwürdig rüber. Vor allem die Hauptfiguren wollen irgendwie nicht so richtig in diese Ära passen, was auch für die Musik gilt. Zwar ist der Soundtrack an sich gut, doch stammen so gut wie alle Stücke aus den frühen und nicht aus den späten 80ern - ein kleines, aber feines Detail, das nicht stimmt. Natürlich kann man in einem Film auch ältere Musik verwenden, doch gerade hier wäre etwas "präzise Zeitgenössisches" angebracht gewesen. Atomic Blonde hätte richtig gut werden können, nur leider hapert es dafür an zu vielen Ecken und Enden. Die Blu-ray geht dafür in Sachen Bild und Ton durchweg in Ordnung.

Von einem Film, der "Atomic blonde" betitelt ist, kann man keine geistigen Höhenflüge erwarten. Wer Spaß an Actionfilmen hat und Charlize Therone mag, mag auch den Film. Obwohl es der Qualität des Films sicher zuträglich gewesen wäre, wenn Frau Therone mehr Gesichtsausdrücke gezeigt hätte als "angepisst" und "extrem angepisst".

1989 War ich 4 Jahre Alt, also noch ein kleiner Bub😅 als die Mauer viel. Find aber die Idee einen Agenten Film in dieser Zeit an zu Siedeln Richtig gut!Und genau das ist der Punkt die Story für sich ist Mittelmaß. Die Ominöse Liste um die es im Film geht, ist nur ein McGuffin dient also nur dazu die Handlung voran zu treiben! Daneben gibt es halt das Klassische Netz aus Lügen, Intrigen und Täuschungen hier unterscheidet sich Atomic Blond nicht Groß von anderen Spionage-Agenten-Aktion Filmen.Aber was diesen Streifen so besonders macht ist zum einen die Musik👌In welchen Film Hört man schon mal Nena mit 99 Luftballons, Falco oder Major Tom aus den Boxen, ja als Kind Der 90er sind auch mir viele Musik Stücke die Da Gespielt werden bekannt. Und sorgen für eine Richtig Gute Stimmung bei vielen Segmenten im Film! Etwa wenn Lorrain am Berliner Flughafen ankommt und Plötzlich von Peter Schilling völlig Losgelöst gespielt wird einfach Herrlich👍 Dan Natürlich der einzig Artige Look des Filmes in seinen Neon Farben ganz im Stille der 80 er Jahre Angehaucht ist. Aber auch mit Kühlen Grau, Weiß, Farben daher her Kommt und eine Dreckige Triste Stimmung vermittelt! Visuell ist der Film echt Klasse die Location Berlin 1989 👌 Einfach Klasse Eingefangen so wie das Berliner Nachtleben. Und natürlich die Hand gemachten Aktion Szenen mit Coolen Kampf Choreographien Klasse Kamera Fahrten 🎥 ohne Schnelle Schnitte und Zoom. Dan Verfolgung,s Jagten mit Polizei Wartburg und Volvo Autos die ein Mitten ins Geschehen bringen.Fazit: Atomic Blond ist Recht Brutal also nichts für das Zart gemüt, die Gewalt Darstellung ist Expezieht. Man sollte sich darauf Einstellen! Ansonsten ist es ein Film den man sich durch aus zu legen kann weil er doch Recht unterhaltsam ist und im TV wahrscheinlich Geschnitten sein wird. Chalize Theron und James McAvoy machen hier ganz klar den Unterschied aus, Von mir ne klare Empfehlung! Noch mal ne kleine Anmerkung, das Front Cover ist in Einen Blau und Grün Schimmernden Farbton Gedruckt mit samt den Schriftzug, sieht sehr Edel aus👌 Hab dazu mal ein Kleines Video gemacht.

Schon die Vorschau ließ mich nach dem Film lechzen und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Der Film spielt größtenteils in Berlin kurz vor dem Mauerfall und zeigt die Verwicklungen der dort stationierten Geheimdienste und die persönlichen Verwicklungen der einzelnen Agenten. Der Film weiß zu fesseln, die Bilder Berlins zu faszinieren und an den Actionszenen konnte ich mich nicht satt sehen. Insbesondere weil viele davon von der Hauptdarstellerin, Charlize Theron, selber ausgeführt wurden! Sehr sehenswert und evtl. sogar einmalig: Die Kampfszenen im verlassenen Haus OHNE Cut! Unglaublich ...

Ich habe den Film mittlerweile schon zweimal gesehen und finde ihn immer noch sehr gut. In bestem Bild und Ton hergestellt kann man erstklassige Unterhaltung mit Spionage "Twist and Turns" zur Zeit des Mauerfalls in Berlin geniessen. Charlize Theron kämpft erstaunlich gut und die Kämpfe gehören mit zum Besten was ich in den letzten Monaten gesehen habe - meine Hochachtung.

Hallo Hallo, falls Sie den Film kaufen möchten können Sie sich gleich darauf einstellen das Keine Scene Ausgelassen wird um nicht dem Alkoholkonsum und dem Zigarettenwahn zu huldigen. Offensichtlich konnte der Film nur fertiggestellt werde durch die Zuwendungen der Alkohol und Zigaretten Industrie. Und Sie , Theron , führt heftige Körperkämpfe in Hochhackigen aus und wirkt eher lächerlich.

Tolle kampfszenen, interessante Geschichte,toll umgesetzt,erinnert ein wenig an Bourne Identität,aber ich finde ihn fast besser....ein wenig deplatziert find ich den Schweiger,braucht da kein Mensch... Filmmusik ist auch grandios,alle Daumen hoch,klare Empfehlung...

Ca m’a fait plaisir d’entendre des tubes des années 80 et de voir ces violents éclairages bleu-rouge qui m’ont rappelé les années 80. Ca démarre d’ailleurs avec la chanson-phare du film « La féline » (la version avec N. Kinski). Mais voilà, pour moi ce film vaut surtout pour son esthétique et son ambiance. Charlize Theron est superbe et la caméra s’attarde très souvent sur son beau visage figé. Niveau scénario, je me suis sentie larguée. J’ai eu l’impression que les personnages passaient leur temps à fumer, fumer, fumer… (pour se donner une contenance ?). Et on a droit à quelques scènes lesbiennes, ça c’est dans l’air du temps, pour ne pas dire tendance.La seconde partie est plus prenante, bien qu’un peu tirée par les cheveux à la fin (mais je ne vais pas spoiler). J’espérais voir un bon spectacle de divertissement. Au lieu de ça, je me suis pas mal ennuyée, même s’il y a de bons moments et des combats réussis. On est quand même loin de la trilogie Jason Bourne..

ein solch schlechten Film habe ich seid Jahren nicht mehr gesehen. Brutal, keine spannende Handlung, ohne richtigen roten Faden. Wenns negativ Sterne geben würde, würde ich Minus Sterne vergeben. Ging in den Müll.

1989. Nous sommes à BERLIN lors de la chute du mur. La ville allemande grouille d'espions de tous les pays et c'est dans ce climat que débarque LLORAINE BROUGHTON (CHARLIZE THERON, plus explosive et expressive que jamais) pour y retrouver sur les ordres du MI6 une liste d'agents infiltrés en ALLEMAGNE DE L'EST, liste que convoite évidemment les Russes. Le film a bien été descendu par les magazines supposés parlés de cinéma lors de sa sortie en salles ce qui est plutôt bon signe pour la bonne qualité du film. En plus, au générique du film, outre la divine CHARLIZE, on retrouve JAMES MC AVOY (X MEN, SPLIT), JOHN GOODMAN (vu encore récemment dans 3 BILLBOARDS) et EDDIE MARSAN. Ce n'est certes pas le film de l'année mais juste un bon film d'espionnage et d'action (je recommande la scène finale dans l'hôtel parisien). La soundtrack est formidable et reprend tous les morceaux rock de l'époque : NEW ORDER dès les premières minutes du film, puis NINA HAGEN bien sûr, SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES, THE CLASH avec LONDON CALLING et pour terminer en beauté DAVID BOWIE et son UNDER PRESSURE. En résumé, un film à recommander pour passer une super bonne soirée. Pour compléter mon avis, on apprend dans les bonus que le film a en fait été tourné pour des raisons de budget à BUDAPEST où tous les décors ont été reconstitués et notamment le mur avec ses célèbres graffitis.

Film gefällt mir sehr gut. Soundtrack dgl. Kurzweilige Action-Unterhaltung mit cooler Hauptdarstellerin. Leider "hakt" die Blu-ray an einer Stelle (kein Beinbruch), wie es eben ab und zu passieren kann. Beeindruckt hat mich stellenweise die Kameraführung (klasse) und die aberwitzigen Kampszenen im Film. Kein Film für Empfindliche, kein Film für Logiker.

Cooler und super spannender Actionfilm, mit toller authentischer Musik. Es geht um die Geheimdienstwirren rund um den Mauerfall. Natürlich ist der Fall nicht real, aber es macht einfach Spaß. Agententhriller - auf Jason Bourne Niveau - wie wir uns ihn wünschen. Wahnsinns Auftritt von Charlize Theron. Super empfehlenswert wenn man gute Action und Spannung liebt.

Hi .. I was expecting a little bit more of an exciting movie .. it was a little dry at the beginning but towards the end .. the fighting parts of Charlize Theron was great. Loved her outfits :)
