– Robi Comb Pro Electronic Lice Comb

Was a little dubious about purchasing this after reading others reviews but I went for it anyway as we had spent so much on the branded chemical treatments to no avail. The lice on my daughters hair kept returning and were certainly immune to the chemicals. As a result I thought this had to be worth a go. On opening I have to say that I was happy with the quality and construction and found it to be no way flimsy. The unit has 2 modes, both will electrocute and kill the nits. Mode 1 gives a continuous detection tone from the comb which then stops when it comes into contact with any nits or eggs. You must remove any nits from the comb teeth before the tone returns. Mode 2 has a continuous detection tone which does not stop on contact with the nits. I found mode 1 to be more useful as it highlights when a nit or egg has been hit and killed allowing inspection of the parasite. Regarding the poor reviews I can only assume that people are not reading the instructions carefully enough before use or are using it incorrectly. Also, it does clearly state that you should use it to comb hair once a day for ten days to catch any tiny eggs that were missed on previous days due to their size but will get caught later as they grow larger and before they hatch. Overall, I was very happy with this purchase for its price and my daughter has been nit free for sometime now after battling them for almost 6 months. The comb certainly emits a voltage (safe to humans) that would kill nits etc as I touched my ear with it when testing it on myself and there was a distinct mild tingle.

I thought id give this ago cause i was fed up of spending money on Lotions that dont work ! The gaps between the teeth are to wide to pick up smaller nits or take the eggs out the hair, although it did kill the larger ones not sure if it is actually killing the eggs . My daughter complained that it hurt When I ran it through her hair near the root trying to kill the eggs as i touch her scalp,she said it shocked her and was painful she only 5 , tried it myself and it did give you a little shock if you touch the come on your scalp . Used it on my 12 year old who has thicker hair and it still only took the larger nits out and bypassed the eggs and small nits .. not really worth money as I had to do their hair again with the nitty witty come which I swear by as it removes everything , thought this would of saved me money and time in the long run but I'm rather disappointed so I'll just stay with the nitty whitty come

I was a bit sceptical when I read some of the reviews. I have bought this product to deal with a lice infestation. So far, day one, I am very happy it caught some very tiny lice too. Obviously you would have to brush the hair nicely and part it in small strands.

Easy to use, works ok but need to use in conjunction with other tools to be fully effective. Not great at getting the smaller lice and eggs. Hard to clear the dead lice off the teeth as well which can be annoying due the noise being emitted by device until the teeth are clear.

gets the larger lice. But many slip between the prongs. Good for a first pass and to untangle any hair. Then onto a tighter comb to get the smaller ones.

A must have for any parent, babysitter or childminder. Being told that there are lice at your childs school brings me out in the heeby jeebies which sends me into overdrive. I've found with this comb I can check my three sons hairs daily and being able to check their hair daily quickly is a godsend. There are two options on the comb, the first is to check if there are any lice or eggs - when it's on this option it lets off a high pitched noise which will stop if it comes across any eggs or lice (or scabs fyi). The second option eradicates them if any are found saving you so much time, saving your child/ren from so much upset as well as having any nasty chemicals put onto their delicate scalps. The good thing is you only need a couple of AA batteries on hand to check your children or your own hair and don't have to then go panic buy lice killing products. I've found using this along with a tea tree spray (we make our own mixing water with some tea-tree essential oil which is sprayed on in the morning) has been enough to ensure our sons have never caught any lice or eggs.

Tried using this for a couple of weeks during a school nit infestation instead of dousing my daughter with the horrible greasy chemical liquids. It didn't work, it wasn't killing the nits it came across even when I could see them - I picked them out just with my fingers instead. Eventually gave up tonight after using this at lunchtime and then finding a nit still there this afternoon and used the chemicals again - quite a few big ones came out when I went through with the non electronic comb and loads of baby ones... This is a waste of money, and even worse this is a non-returnable item which wasn't made obvious during the purchase process - I'll be complaining to Amazon. Purchase at your own risk. :(

Does not work. Desaster waste of money

The Robi Comb is easy to use and causes no discomfort (unlike anti-louse chemicals). The leaflet says that it should be cleaned with 'medical' alcohol (I assume isopropyl alcohol) and not with water (previous lice combs were cleaned by immersing in hot water) and that for hygiene purposes one might consider purchasing more than one of the heads (other lice combs may be shared by all members of a family, after they have been disinfected using boiling water). I haven't found out where you can purchase extra heads, unless you purchase more than one RobiComb.

This version is great. The older model would shut off constantly from the littlest hair or anything other than an actual nit and not restart easily after using the brush to clear the teeth. I use this for fleas when we take in a foster cat. It is also ideal for checking a child's head for head lice. I am a teacher so it's great for checking my hair. Fantastic product.

This is so Amazing 👏 I ordered this yesterday and got it today. 👍 Yes! I ordered 3 by accident. I guess you could say I had a Happy Lil accident lol keeping them. I gifted 1 and going to gift another one. Share the joy of getting rid of the lice. My head feels so much better. I have tried for about 3 weeks to rid of those pests to no avail. Now, I am on the road to Freedom. I will do this 30 minutes a day for the next 10 days. Thank you for such a Great product. I will definitely come back if I have to. Hopefully, I never will have to. If you don't have this comb, buy it and Zap those pests! BTW, my hair is down to my hips and thick. It was extremely easy to comb through with this comb.
