The connectors from my sennheisen headphones are red and black not red and white. will this work?

A simple rule to remember for colored plugs is this: 99.9% of the time R (R) RED, is ALWAYS right, as in right side, right channel/speaker.

you can use the usb power supply same as for iphone , it's DC 5V 1000MA .

Why does it not come with a power supply, I do not want to have to get an additional item for this to work ?

The back of the television has a USB out connection which I used in place of a power transformer. In addition, the optical out connection does not respond to the television remote controller and so the mute and the volume controller do not work.
