ELP-LP88 Replacement Projector Lamp

Had to replace another previous ordered 3d party bulb which was overheating only a few hours after installation (10 hours only). I subsequently ordered this EWO product because of the good reviews and the reputation EWO has. This EWO bulb is designed to replace the Epson ELPLP78 bulb for the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 projector. So far, this bulb is operating normally and the quality of the projection is good. Nice bright, clear colors (see my photo) and no overheating. While the price is less than the $100+ Epson bulbs and some of the other generic brands... the quality of picture is just as good if not better as the original bulb that came with the projector. Bulb life is yet to be determined but even if it only last 75% of the original bulb, it is worth the cost.

Great product

December 16th was the day I bought this lamp and today less than a month stop working. Turned on the projector and a minute later all black screen. I just wasted my money

Bulb burned out after a few months. Seller promptly fixed situation.

EDIT: 2000 hours and bulb started the white flicker. Figure not great but for price I can work with that. Ordered another and using that. Once again everything is golden. Super happy with this, didn't expect results this awesome. I specifically went with this product over the ones half the price... figuring cost is a factor of quality. I grabbed a 'screen calibration test image' and set it up as my image, took pictures with my phone, and then replaced the bulb. Well I didn't have to compare new vs old it was that much of a difference, def a LOT brighter/sharper then it had been. My proj is 5 years old and has a lot of hours (2871 hours), I use it mostly for movies (either single or marathon style) and it spent most of its time in the garage 'man-cave' which wasn't always climate controlled. Anyways, I would recommend it did what I wanted. I will update after a 1000-1500 hours if I recall for others. I figure if I get at least that many hours then this was a solid purchase.

The bulb that I replaced was original to the projector and failed at 1452 hrs, which I may have contributed to by not noticing that above an elevation of 4500 ft the settings needed to be adjusted to high altitude so that the projector fan runs constantly. We are at about 5000 ft and so the bulb may have over heated...I did read one review on the bulb/projector and the reviewer suggested setting the projector for high altitude regardless of the true elevation, and I would consider that to be sound advice. The replacement bulb ordered from EWO'S was $ cheaper than EPSON and arrived when promised and in great shape. The change-out literally took less than five minutes. I will monitor my usage hours this time and look to purchase a backup bulb at about 1500 hrs. Thanks EWO'S for the fair price and the great customer service!

So after my previous bulb finally gave up after many hours of use, I got this bulb because of its price. I use this projector for my kids' videos and they were disappointed in not having their shows. Install was easy and the first use of the bulb was promising. However, when I turned the projector on for the kids the next day there was a loud pop and smoke came out from the exhaust fan. The bulb hadn't even gotten up to full brightness! I had already cleaned the filter in the projector, so it was not due to poor airflow and the projector was not disturbed in any way. It was solely due to the poor quality of this bulb. Now I will need to get a new bulb again, but it won't be this one.

Installed a week ago. Works well. At least so far, seems as bright as when the projector was new.

Muy útil y quedó bien

La calidad del foco no se ve muy buena porque la parte trasera tiene muy poca ceramica.

El producto llegó muy bien empaquetado, el remplazo es muy sencillo, probado en un Epson w17, la calidad de la imagen y el brillo son iguales a cuando estaba nuevo. Como dato, en modo ECO la lampara original me duró 3600 horas, espero que su vida útil sea similar.

El producto es muy ligero, la conexión del foco no corresponde al original, pagué el mas costoso esperando fuera el mejor y resultó pésimo.
