Read before buying.
Product came, vaccum packed, everything seems to be fine, however the shelf life is not 5 years. It is only 3 and a half so keep that in mind if purchasing now or later. It seems like they don't ship new batches with 5 years shelf life but they ship whatever they have on stock.

we took these on our camping trip and actually were great for when hunger strikes and your on some backroads! Tasted decent and would buy again to have on hand for emergencies. maybe even keep some in your car.

I'm constantly looking for some kind of meal replacement item due to being busy and on the go a lot. Eating out is expensive so I gave these a try. These are easy to eat, filling and taste great. My gf who has taste issues with things being too spicy or too much flavor loves how these taste and feel when eating. They crumble a bit which may be the only issue I can make with them, but that's it. I don't know how they could fix that. I'm going to be ordering more for on the go eating to see how well they hold up after a while. So here goes! The only request I can make is for the company to offer a bulk, meal replacement option that doesn't need the heavy duty wrapping.

I keep these as emergency rations, but also decided to try them hiking. They're not I dividually wrapped, and the package isn't re-sealable so it lost a star. I like that the first ingredient isn't sugar, like a similar product. I didn't love the blocks, they are bulky, and difficult to eat. And crumbs everywhere. It tasted like a boring not-too-sweet cookie. But I could eat it without needing to drink anything to wash it down. One 400 calorie bar is enough for a 4 hour hike on fairly technical terrain. And price-wise, it's comparable to energy bars, and much tastier than most.

I bought for emergency, shelf life, nutrients.

It does the trick for calories, think a not-dry lemon bar. The extra fats do prevent you from getting thirsty while eating them but give it a lightly greased tactile sensation(doesn't rub on clothes or anything) taste was acceptable to good it's one large package no individual sections inside. Only critique is the nutritional value is geared toward caloric density fat heavy, proteins limited. That being said, In a wilderness survival situation fats may be some of the harder things to get outside of heavy animals, and many end up subsisting on small game/insects/veg that this would add productively too with minerals/fats.
