Surface Pro (5th Gen) (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB) LTE

I'm a real estate agent and use this every single day. I use it in my office when I don't want to wait for the computer to fire up or when I'm out of the office it allows me to be massively productive. After popping in a T-Mobile SIM card, I have a tablet sized computer that allows me to work from anywhere without needing wi-fi. My Surface is so awesome I haven't taken my laptop with me since I purchased 7 months ago; even when I went out of town. Where I go, my Surface goes. The three biggest ways this has helped me in my business: 1) When I am out with a client in random houses I can pull up info as easy and quickly as if I were in my office. 2) I have greatly reduced the amount of paper and ink I use by inserting pdf docs into OneNote and using my Surface pen to take notes, highlight, etc. Bonus: It syncs with the computer in my office. 3) Being a single Dad of two, I spend a lot of time sitting in the car waiting. I get a ton of stuff done in my car while waiting for carpool to start or practices to finish, etc. I tell people all of the time... it is the best thing I've ever spent money on.

As I said in headline, it is perfect... Can't find anything to complain about it! Anywhere I go, internet is there... Easy to set up, easy to use...

Pretty annoyed that I brought this device and it turns out it doesnt support Windows 11. They should have been more clear about this. Returning it.

Everything is accurate besides the LTE. The model I received doesn't have LTE at all. There isn't even a slot for a sim card like it should have. Don't waste your time if you need LTE.

I have been looking for LTE laptop/tablets for a while and finally bought this for $250 off the normal price through an online company. I went with the I5/8 gig RAM/256 Gig HD. I had also been looking at the Galaxy Book 2, but with 1/2 the specs, an ARM processor, and only $350 more, it was a no-brainer. I was thinking of waiting for the Surface Pro 6 version of this, but who knows how long that will take, and the sale made it worth it to settle for the Surface Pro 5. These specs make it a reasonable mid-range laptop, and fast enough to do everything I need to do. With iPad Pros now maxing out at 2K, getting this with KB and Pen for about $1350 makes it a bargain as far as I'm concerned and lets not even get into the fact the iPad is NOT a computer. Thinks have improved in the Windows ecosystem since my last notebook. I signed into my account and it set up most everything I needed to get started. It recognized I had an Office 365 account and activated it and all my OneDrive files were immediately available. This Surface Pro really sets the standard size for a laptop/tablet IMHO. The 12 inch tablet is not overwhelming and feels as natural as my iPad Pro and Samsung Tab S3 tablets. My Surface Book is really too big to use as a tablet, even though you can pop it out from the keyboard. I bought the Signature keyboard and Pen and am pretty impressed with the quality of those as well. Unlike the SurfaceBook, this computer uses a micro SD card slot that is under the kickstand and doesn't intrude. That was a problem with the regular size SD slot in the SurfaceBook. You always had this quarter of a card sticking out and just waiting to catch on something. I was going to try and shorten the card, but then found a microSD to SD adapter that was shorter specifically for the SurfaceBook. Problem solved, it fits nice and flush. Getting back to the Surface Pro LTE, I haven't put it through all its paces, but it is snappy and everything is performing as expected. Although it has identical specs to my SurfaceBook it seems a little faster. There are a lot of great cover options availble but I may just go with the keyboard and a tomtoc bag. Nice backlight on the keyboard as well. As always, as soon as you set it up, keep going into Settings/Updates and keep installing the updates to bring it current. Throw in your carrier SIM and enjoy a constant connection to the internet. Now I can have my desktop files accessible when traveling and don't have to beg for WiFi. Thrilled I bought this.
