Fun World Girl's Victorian Vampiress Costume

This was a great costume. Fun and Comfortable. Many of the reviews talked about how thin it was, but apparently these people didn't grow up in the days of plastic costumes. It is very thin - however it is a costume not a gown, it is not meant to last forever and for the price it is a very good durable material. My daughter wore it to three halloween parties and trick-or-treating and it held up great. The ribbon that goes up the front wouldn't stay tied and kept coming off (or she kept pulling it out) so that was annoying to have to fix every couple of days. I would probably recommend just putting a new ribbion in there.She still likes it and wears it around the house, it still has no rips, tears or signs of wear.

This is a cute vampire costume and very modest. The only issue we had was getting the part behind the head to stand up. The neck strap was WAY too big. The material isn't great quality, but we found it perfect for Halloween!

Perfect costume for my 7 year old daughter. The material was thin but with a black shirt and black leggings it was warm enough. She loved the lace up detail on the front. She is tall and skinny, I ordered the 5-6 option and it fit great, it didn’t go all the way to the floor like in the picture but that’s because of her height. Black boots were perfect.

The dress fit fine. My daughter is small / slim. I replaced the laces in the front of the dress because the factory laces were cheap made & we had trouble keeping them tied. The collar was also too big, just not made for a kid with a skinny neck. The strap had a short piece of velcro, which the collar couldn't fit snug against the back of her head, it kept flopping down towards her shoulders.Overall the dress was nice, seemed to be made well but with a thin material. But with a couple alterations we made it work.

My daughter liked this one a lot but the neck piece was uncomfortable to keep on during the party so we only put it on for pictures. Also, we had to safety pin it to the costume because its not tight enough just from the Velcro band. I had to starch the neck piece also the night before and let it dry over night so that it stood up. All in all it was a great buy for the price. Just so you know the material is thin, so if its cold you might want something under it. If you live where its hot, no problem.

Our little girl HAD to have this costume. So, we got it. The seams on the sides were so poorly sewn, they had big open gaps along them. I had to sew the fraying fabric to keep it sewn. That required press-on seam tape and then hand sewing as the fabric is so cheesey horrible, I would have had a battle with my pressure foot on my machine for a quick long seam.. ugh. The collar does not stand up and it attaches in a way that will choke your child. We left it off.. and, at school, the seams I didn't sew, like in the arms etc.. ALL started fraying along the fabric on the seams and came undone.. leaving our child essentially.. "naked" but for her underwear. I rushed to school and brought her the other costume we bought to cover her up. Yep, she was upset because this looked so cool.. It is inexpensive.. and even knowing that.. you will NOT get what you paid for. Even if this was free.. Pass it by.. really.

It's a well made costume and at a great price. Grand daughter loves it. She very petite so it fits her beautiful. But it your child is a bit thicker then you might want to size up it doesnt have alot of stretch.

As with other posters, I agree the fabric is not Grade A, however for the price this costume was perfect. Actually, my biggest complaint was the neck flair piece; it wasn't well propped and had little stability so we ended up not even using that part. That said, my daughter enjoyed this costume, and it is now used for dress up play and is holding up just fine 2 months later.Update-8/22/16:We still have this vampiress costume, and is has been holding up rather well. My girls have costume playtime, and have both worn this in and outside. I've washed it several times as well. No abnormal wear or fading. No loss of stitching or color fading. Definitely worth the price for the amount of life it's gotten.
