I have tested the case (at a depth of 50ft); first with a piece of paper to check for any leaks; then, with the IPhone X. It worked ok, although limiting the Iphone controls flexibility (no zoom, no lighting etc). I cant’t say that this is a substitute for a GoPro or other similar cameras. Perhaps this will encourage Apple to develop a truly waterproof Iphone in the future.

This is sturdy and completely protects my phone. It can be a little tricky to get it to open the camera function at times and beading on the area over the lens is a bit of an issue, but overall, great for taking photos in the water. Happy with the quality of the case and the quality of the photos!

Fogs up easily. Bought some Fog-ex. Hope it helps.

I got this case late last year and have taken it on numerous trips- both kayaking and snorkeling. It has performed well- it has never leaked, and it's easy to operate the camera using the buttons. There have been several minor issues that we've had to troubleshoot with the case... the first few times I used it the inside of the case had a tendency to fog up badly- solved the issue by putting a couple of those little bitty desiccant packs in the case with the phone and that has worked great. The other issue is that the phone tends to overheat in the case, especially when you aren't in the water (kayaking, tubing, etc). Dealt with that by simply submerging the case so that the water kept it cooler, thus preventing overheating. Also, we bought one of those floater wristband things, so that if the case were dropped or slipped off my wrist it wouldn't sink to the bottom, and that has been really useful. Overall I've been really pleased!

I did the test to make sure I didn’t leak before I used the product. After using it for a few days in the pool and the ocean it did not leak. Unfortunately on the fourth day it started leaking and then on the fifth day it was leaking very badly so I returned this product. I’m hopeful it was just a defective one because it was a really great product when it worked

But it causes my iPhone x to overheat when its inside. Took it to Thailand and used it at a couple of islands. It does take good video but it overheats in 20 minutes. I have to take it out and let it cool down.

Water proof, easy to use, clear pictures. It works with the iPhone X. When my iPhone locked, I just pushed the button over the camera and it unlocked. I was surprised it opened. It has buttons to toggle between photo modes (video, portrait, etc) as well as front or back camera. It got a little foggy when taking selfies. However, I just opened the case and closed it again and it cleared the fog. Another thing is that it gets really hot. Sitting in the sun, my phone shut off so it didn’t overheat. I removed it from the case and put it in the shade. It cooled down quickly. I love the case and love the pictures I get with it! I also had an older model of this case, and liked it as well.

The buttons are NOT aligned properly to work with the iPhone XS (regular not the Max). Instead of enabling to switch mode from photo to video etc. It changes where the focus of the pic isI am returning the item and the instructions from the seller is to ship the item using USPS and I will need to pay the shipping fees to send back to China … NOT the usual easy return to Amazon. VERY UNHAPPY.

Great quality for the price - functions with native camera app with ease. Threaded port means it may be able to take filters for greater depths.Would be handy if there was an app to let the buttons lock white balance etc. As for the case it gets 5 starts for the price.

This was a huge winner as a present. She had it out and in use right away. It's compact, strong and doesn't leak. We've used this in pools and out in the ocean. A great purchase.
