Couple months short of shelf life
You may get a 100% battery life if you buy in a local store where you can view the battery date. The energizer Max 9 V batteries I received were stamped 2023 on the bottom with a date on the top of the battery being December, 2029. They have a five year shelflife as per the package. Therefore, the batteries I received would give me just a few months short of the five-year life. I guess the 2023 manufacture date gives them time to package market and warehouse before they even even get to a shelf. I’m just making a comment with no actual criticism. I’m OK with what I received. I’m merely saying that a local purchase gives you more of a chance to assure battery lifespan.

comparative pricing is key here. As is expected since purchasing them new, i dont need to address the quality. the brand is what made me choose these.
