Curbs appetite and food noise
Update: I lost 3lbs over the course of two weeks of using this product, from being able to eat less--I can't say it helps in actually burning fat other than just helping cut down on consumption. Since I'm not obese, that's pretty good, also considering I usually eat whatever I want on Saturdays sometimes Sundays and also partake in alcohol. I also have had "loose stool" every day since starting it. I'm not sure if this is a common effect but it coincides with when I started taking it.Original: I can't believe how quickly this seems to work; it was instantaneous. My BMI is around 25 so I could afford to lose a few pounds but it's hard because I have to toddlers who like to snack and don't eat all their meals. I've been looking for something to successfully curb my appetite and have found some things but I still have that food noise.Yesterday, I didn't realize this had come while I was at work so I took a walk in the evening as usual and found the package when I got back in and took one pill (2.5mg) to see if it helped with cravings since evenings are peak when my kids are eating. I did not snack at all! I didn't even want to! I considered not eating anything at all but chose to have a small dinner because this is less effective when you have an insulin response, and I wanted to decrease effectiveness so I could sleep.I took one again this morning and am not starving before lunch like I usually am (I fast until noon every day). I am excited to continue this and maybe work my way up to 15mg which would be the dose at my weight.I did not necessarily see any increase in energy on just 2.5mg but I got it mainly for the appetite suppression, and am happy so far.

Something that actually seems to work for stubborn fat
I did a lot of research on Yohimbine HCl (the HCl part is important) before I bought this. I've read some interesting side effects and things about it in the past and figured I'd skip it as a supplement to my healthier lifestyle. I am finally giving it a shot after trying a host of other supplements to extinguish my incredibly stubborn body fat. After four days of using this at the recommended dosage online, I can definitely tell it is doing something.BackgroundA bit of a background on me... I hate it when reviews on health items recommend something and don't give any context. This has been part of the problem in my hunt for a supplement that's effective for me. I am a 25 year old male and weigh 180lb at 6'0". I am formerly obese, and from November 2011 to March 2012 I lost 60lb doing a low carb diet. I've stuck with the lower carb and largely primal/paleo lifestyle since then. I work out 4-5 times a week for around 40 minutes. It's not excessive, nor do I want my workouts to be. It's great that I was able to drop all the weight, but my body has been holding on to the 7" wide and 1" thick layer of fat remaining on my lower abdomen for dear life since March. It is what remains from a lifetime of being overweight since childhood. Since last November I've used supplements including Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard, Double Rich Chocolate, 5 Pound, Optimum Nutrition 100% Casein Protein, Chocolate Supreme 4 Pound, Fish Oil - 200 softgels,(Optimum), Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men Multivitamins, 180-Count, NutriGold Green Tea Extract GOLD 500 mg, 180 Vegetarian Capsules - Decaffeinated Green Tea Fat Burner Supplement for Weight-loss (98% Polyphenols, 50% EGCG), Integrative Therapeutics Lipotropic Complex, 90 Capsules, NOW Foods Vitamin D-3 1000 IU, 180 Softgels, and Source Naturals Alpha Lipoic Acid 300mg, 120 Tablets. I even went out on a limb and tried this fat burner for a few days called Nutrex Research Lipo-6X, 120 Capsules, Bottle, which gave me a headache and made me severely uncomfortable. That fat burner also contains Yohimbine HCl, but it has a lot of other weird products including a large dose of caffeine. My resting heart rate is 49-55, which is that of an athlete for someone my age. In other words: I'm quite healthy compared to a year and a half ago. I live a sedentary lifestyle outside of working out, being in the technology field with a desk job. I realize this is a contributing factor to not being able to burn the remaining fat, but there's really nothing I can do about it.What you shouldn't buyAccording to Lyle McDonald's Body Recomposition forum:"Yohimbe is a herbal form of the compound. Most yohimbe products are extracted from some type of bark and contain not only yohimbe but a number of related alkaloids. The alkaloids can cause a number of odd side effects including chills and sweating."Bottom line: make sure you're getting "Yohimbine HCl", which this is. He says this about Yohimbine HCl:"Yohimbine HCL is the pure pharmaceutical form of the compound. It has far fewer side effects and is what I recommend. The big drawback to yohimbine HCL is that it's only available in 2.5 mg capsules and you end up having to take a handful to get an effective dose."DosageAll sources I've read online point to a 0.2mg/kg dosage. So if you weigh 80kg, you would take 16mg of this product. Each capsule here is 2.5mg, so I take around 6 of them when I use it. I started with 3 on day 1 to test any potential side effects. Note that the bottle says the recommended dosage is 1 capsule, which seems wrong according to online opinion/recommendations.When to UseI've been using this product when I get home from work in the evenings, or on the drive home. Typically I'd eat dinner, wait 1-1.5 hours, and then do my cardio workout. Instead, I do my workout right as I get home after a 30 minute drive and having taken 6 capsules. It's important to take it while "fasted", since insulin spikes negate the effects of the product. I take that to mean I should wait 4-5 hours after eating anything to take it. Doing cardio for 30-40 minutes after taking it gets the most out of the product, according to online sources. After the cardio session it is safe to eat. What I've NoticedThe biggest thing is my almost nonexistent appetite. I've been working at a caloric deficit the past week or more. I would consume 1600-1800 calories a day, which is a fairly large deficit for my age/body type. I am a very hungry person. It's one of the reasons I ballooned earlier in my life. It takes a lot of willpower for me to refrain from eating more than I should, since my body constantly signals that I'm hungry even when I'm eating at ~2600 calories a day. To me that is strange considering the large amount of stored fat remaining on my abdomen. I can only guess my body has given up on ever wanting to burn those reserves. This has totally changed with the Yohimbine HCl. After the first day I was down in weight and I haven't been hungry since I started taking it. Since the product is an "alpha-2 antagonist", it inhibits the effect of alpha-2 receptors which I now believe are the reason my fat is stubborn. I've continued to eat on a normal schedule out of habit, but I honestly haven't been hungry going into any of the meals since taking this. Today I've only eaten around 1300-1400 calories and I feel fantastic.Possible side effectsWhat I've read: "Yohimbine HCl has a tendency to increase heart rate and blood pressure. Other side effects are also possible and individuals prone to anxiety attacks must not use yohimbine."Be sure to test it at a lower dosage to be safe. I mentioned that I'm pretty healthy already, so I can't put a full endorsement on something that may cause health problems for others.Overall: try it if you're legitimately following good health practices but can't lose the last stubborn fat on your body. All signs point to it working for me, but the final verdict is still out.

Excellent product with minor side effects
I’ve been using this brand for years. As long as I eat, it doesn’t make me feel bad. It will make me hot and my HR raises, which helps me burn more calories during a workout. It really helps me keep my appetite under control, which is the main reason in taking it. HOWEVER, I have finally put 1+1 together and discovered that it is the reason my nose runs all the time. I do not have that problem when I don’t take it. Tested many, many times and it’s def the Yohimbine. Disappointing, but for the most part, it’s worth it to me to keep control over my eating & the extra calorie burn. I may try other brands going forward to see if it makes a difference.

Tooooo much!!
Entirely too strong. I couldn't even function. I had to lay down wide awake and pray for the overwhelming jittery feeling to subside.
