Very good product (stone) good price

My first stone, so I can not speak on others to compare with. Works wonderfully. If you have low quality knives and they long overdue a more coarse stone may be a good start before the 1000/6000 combo. I love the all contained set with slip resistant base. It stores easily. One thing to be sure of is to make sure you dry the stone very well, 1 to 2 days after use. Mildew, or mold can and will occur on the stones surface. Conveniently the stones have a strong plastic with hole to hang by. Shaving hairs off the back of a hand quality stone. Takes practice as woth anything. Thanks for a great product!

I started with a 400 grit diamond stone followed with stropping compound on leather when I start my sharpening journey. It was okay but did not achieve the sharpness that I was looking for. After watching a bunch of videos online about sharpening, I bought his Cerex combination stone 1000/6000. What a difference this made. I was able to get razor sharp results on my Dexter cleaver, Mercer Santoku, Miyabi Mizu SG2 Santoku, mcusta zanmai classic pro gyuto, and Enso HD Bunka. If your knife is very dull, you may need a 200/400 grit stone to start with before this 1000/6000 combo. Recommended.

From sharpening to finishing all in this set that saved & added so much value! It even comes w a stand & tray so I didn’t need to spend any extra $ on a holder. Flattening stone is nice to keep the combination stones clean & ready for the next sharpening session!

Nice and compact with a good base for holding the stone. Just add a Cerax 320 grit for profiling or chip removal and you're good to go. This stone only needs to soak for 3 to 4 minutes and there will be no air bubbles escaping. Only suggestion for improvement would be to manufacture the lid so that it locks into place. This is a very aggressive cutting stone that is smooth as silk. Highly recommended.

Broken

Nice combo. The 1000 sharpens nice and fast. Glides easy, clean up is easy. The 6000 polish also works similar. Feels so good you will want to find a knife to sharpen. Used on my white steel knive and its razor sharp now. Also worked wonders on my cheap stainless steel ones too.

If you're going to spend the money on a good stone don't waste it on this combo.
