Chickens, ducks, quail and more....
So far this has been a good little incubator. The temperature maintains a steady temp to the temperature set to. The automatic turner turns regularly so that is a chore deleted for you. My unit came with the 120 vac to 12 vdc adapter for power, as well as a straight 12v plug with clamps suitable to hook onto a car battery for any pesky power outages. Humidity levels are monitored, just wish it had an alarm like the temp, I have found adding water daily is pretty much a requirement. This is easily done without having to open the incubator. Egg size determines the number of eggs with adjustable dividers in the auto turn rack. Candle your eggs with the very bright built in to the top light....Downside of this is there are no real instructions with this unit. There is a general picture assembly sheet and a very nice development booklet, but that is about it. However, easily found with any internet search for general instructions for that.I have my first batches of eggs currently incubating, I will follow up on hatching success at hatching time.

works for chicken eggs
Overall I liked this incubator quite well! especially a clear side to view the eggs!Successfully hatched 13 of 16 eggs! When i recive the incubator, the first thing I did after assembling was to check the accuracy of the readout with a calibrated thermometer. This is also in the incubators instruction manual. If you want a successful hatch in any incubator, this is a very important step! My incubator was off by approximately 0.7° C, so I simply adjusted the temperature keeping that in mind. I also like to run my incubators a bit warmer than normal so mine was set at 38.2° C.The egg tray was easy to assemble and held 16 eggs total.-On day 1 I used 16 chicken eggs from a local breeder. After adding the eggs and making sure the temperature and turner were working fine, I simply ignored the incubator completely until day 7.-On day 7 I candled my eggs to check for air cell growth and embryo growth. I had 100% fertility, though I had to remove one egg that had died early in development. Air cells looked good. The 15 good eggs were returned to the incubator.-On day 14 I candled again, everything looked good. On day 18 I took the eggs out of the turning tray, added water to the incubator, put in the hatching insert and returned the eggs.-On day 20 I I watched the first chicken emerge from the shell, my chicks hatch out a bit early within 24 hours! Successfully hatched 13 of 16 eggs!Worth to buy and easy to use! If you want to hatch, it's a nice choice!I plan to hatch duck eggs, and I'll update my reviews.

Lovely!
Hi guys, look at these lovely little fellows.I'm so excited, this is my first hatching, I had 10 baby chicks, though I've lost 6 egg in the hatching.-Lisa (I named them) is the eldest sister, I guess, she is the first born, she has beautiful feathers in brown , also the brown sharp mouth, she is the biggest one inside, but seems she is a quite quiet girl .-The coolest guy is Tom. His feathers are in pure black. Awesome! He has some white feathers under his wings and buttocks, which makes him so handsome. He ran around and made nice noises, everyone praised him.-The smallest guy is Carl, who seems did not blend into the small group, his feathers weren't very pretty, and he looked skinny. But he is the one which worried me most, because he was the last one born. And there are seven guys, I love everyone of them, they give me a feeling of being a mother and i can hear the baby noises as I get closer to them. Thanks to Homaker, my baby chicks and I both love it!

Quality product with 5 Star Customer Service
This unit is perfect for both home and educational settings. It’s easy to set up, compact, and attractive. Clear view of eggs encourage kids engagement. Built in candling light is a great feature as well! Temperature is accurately managed to a tenth of one degree, which should not only dramatically improve viability of chicks but support other egg species as wellI made a mistake by adding too much water at first but Tracy has gone beyond my expectations by walking me thru how to get it right. I’d happily recommend both this product and this vendor to others

Better than my expensive incubator!
This indicator has held humidity and temperature more consistently than my expensive one. Will update you on my first hatch rate when it comes time for hatching. Its also big enough for 9 of my goose eggs. Would probably hold more if I took out the autoturner. Thank you for an inexpensive and reliable product!

Piece of JUNK
Incubator is junk. It has the 2 separate pieces and they don’t fit well together so as your trying to adjust the one piece the other falls off and breaks incubation. The rotator is worthless. I’ve resorted to moving them myself. Couldn’t be more disappointed with this product. I bet the 30 dollar ones work better. Don’t waste your money. Find something better quality. I didn’t want anything extreme because I’m not incubating many eggs so I didn’t want to spend 200 dollars to use it once but had I known what a piece of garbage this thing was I would have just ordered one of the cheaper ones.
