3650 5900KV Sensorless Brushless Motor 120A Brushless ESC & Program Card Waterproof Motor ESC Combo 3.175mm Shaft for 1/10 RC Car Truck

First, I ran it in my old vintage HPI RS4 Pro 2. motor barely fits with minor rubbing on the carbon/graphite bottom chassis. The ESC is large, but fits fine on the chassis of the Pro2. But unfortunately, I don't have enough street for gradually stretching out the car for high speed runs and good tires to run the car since it's so light and the motor is so powerful, it'll spin the car if i'm not careful with the throttle. Broke lots of old parts that are hard to get and a couple of cheap plastic rims running this setup. I was running 42t/122t pitch64 on 3s and hit about 55mph before having to get off the throttle. Probably can hit 65+ with my setup. I found the 5900kv is too much for this and downgrade back to 3100kv brushless on my HPI Pro2 for better manageability with the driving..Transplanted this 5900kv motor to my Traxxas Fiesta Rally and it's perfect. The Rally is about 4 times as heavy as my Pro2 above so the power is good anmanageable on it. Upgraded the slipper clutch to Traxxas diff and running 20t/50t pitch 32 on 3s and I hit about 40 mph on my short cu-del sac. I think open road, I should hit at least 50+mph for my setup. Car is very controllable and fun to drive (compared to the stock ~17mph from the factory).! Esc is a tight fit in the Rally and had to just squeeze it in diagonally.6 months later and still running strong. No issue with the ESC or motor (dont have 4s battery to try out). Added a heatsink and fan combo to help the motor expell heat. After a good run, temp with fan hits about ~170F (borderline okay/not okay) and the ESC is about ~115FGreat Buy!

Awesome set up for the price, put it in my slash 2wd. Will blow the doors off the velenion 3s system, for half the price. Motor has so much torque it will wheelie with 1/4 throttle. Full throttle off the start and it will put iself on its roof. Best rc I’ve ever owned and now it has even more power. Traxxas slash 2wd, proline 5” MX wheels and tires, long travel piggyback shocks with medium springs, rpm everything. I think I finally have a “perfect” RC. I will update this review after I’ve ran it more for a durability test. The dang thing is so fast now, it torque rolled at about 30 mph or so and cartwheeled down the asphalt for about 80 feet. Broke the front rpm hubs/carries and broke a rear bearing carrier. Waiting for some shiny RPM metal to come now. EDIT!!! It’s been like 2 months so far and plenty of abuse, been ran in the snow every time, when done disconnect battery and set it in front of a register for 24 hours to throughly dry out, done it multiple times now and she’s still going! I’ve even re geared with 32 pitch gears, 20 tooth pinion and 56t spur, put 1/8 scale MT tires on it (6.5”) and widened the entire slash by 1”, it is now a bullet proofed, 1/8 scale 2wd.....thing

The speed control and motor is very fast and a lot of fun but the fan on my speed control was either defective or low quality. I probably used it about six times now and the fan is starting to make a weird noise like the bushing is going out. Other than that, this thing‘s awesome and plenty fast. I had no problems with the motor, however you will need a heat sink if you’re going to drive the full throttle the whole time.

My stock 2s was just as fast as this 3s set-up. Not sure if I got a bad product or just cheaply made over all....

Put this on a 4tec 2.0 chasis. Coming from a. Velenion brushless system with 3s lipo’s. This motor is tuned to 75% throttle and I blew out my brand new tires in the span of two Lopo batteries. If you want something to fry your tires with ease buy this motor. Very tunable!

Output shaft broke

The media could not be loaded. This setup turn a drift car into a speed demon, high 70s maybe 80+mph. Handles 4s lipo great, haven't had any problems with heat temperatures so far (only been ran good 3 time, need better tires). My typhon 6s has been clocked at 86mph and it keeps up with it. Not sure how this setup will do on a bigger offroad build,, but this turn out to be a nice on-road budget build
