Review: Best Cargo pants, multicam option even better! - These are the best high waisted cargo pants available for most use. I use them for travel, skateboarding, shooting, hiking, and anything else. I own the multicam nylon ripstop ones (the really expensive ones) as well as the brown polycotton ripstop ones after i tried the brown polycotton which i originally bought for a trip to Manila because they have zippered cargo pockets that could prevent would-be-pickpockets (it works...as far as i know). Both pant types are excellent. The pocket layout works very well, and there are no issues with low quality velcro, zippers, or stitching. there are two small front velcro pockets which can hold quick access items securely, such as a flashlight or pistol magazine. There are some features on the nylon multicam pants which are better than the polycotton, which i will describe below: - The gusset patch is made from a different material. on nylon multicam type it is a stretchy breathable yet seemingly durable material, which is better than the standard gusset patch as it is more comfortable and flexible. - The material is nylon ripstop, as opposed to the polycotton blend. Don't worry about it being noisier (think swooshy), as i havent had any issues with that even when brand new. The material also doesnt seem to retain heat more than the polycotton, so it is also suitable to be worn in the summer. Moisture beads up on the nylon material, and it wicks moisture better, making it a better pant for excercise or in the rain (like on a backpacking trip these pants will be perfect). - Both pants have a small pouch on the inside of the waistband front for IWB concealed carry I assume. Would not rely on this feature but it’s there. That's pretty much it! These are high quality RIPSTOP cargo pants, great for four seasons, and the multicam nylon ones are even better than the normal polycotton (worth the $110, ouch!). They last and last and dont seem to fade too much in the wash. I skateboard in these pants (i can't imagine a more brutal test for pants than jumping down a stairset and falling on your butt sliding on rough asphalt) and they just keep lasting. The brown ones have actually just developed their first small hole after 2 years of skating in them, which i'm going to patch and keep going after! Review: Excellent product - Your pant fit me perfect but I have not used them because it’s too hot for pants where I live at this time. However I do own about 8pair of your 8.5 tactical shorts. The Velcro instead of a button on the waist is great because it can be adjusted without relying on a belt. Great product. Can’t wait to start using the pants. I’ve been wearing these pants now for about 3 weeks now. I am a home improvement contractor and I love these pants. Very comfortable to work or play in. I used to wear jeans at work but with these pants my crotch area is a lot looser No binding. And again the Velcro instead of a button at the waist is great. Great pants or shorts. Pocket location is perfect.I don’t have to lean over to reach what is at the bottom of the big zippered side pockets. Hooked on these pants. Addition to original After 4 months of every day use these pants look the same as the day I bought them. Also they don’t wrinkle much at all even wearing them for 3-4 days in a row. The length of the legs shrunk a little bit but no big deal. If you think you like these pants or shorts and they have your size buy them instantly because the next time you look they probably will be gone. Good looking work or casual pants

Cool-guy approved! (4 years of ownership review)
(Original review, 5 stars! Written April 23, 2017) Great product. Bought a pair to see how they fit and liked them enough to buy 2 additional pairs. Crotch isn't so low that it minimizes flexibility. Hidden inside pockets around waistband. Plenty of pockets for gadgets and "cool-guy" gear. Durable enough to trail ride on my dirtbike and not get ripped by all the briars. Only thing I didn't like at first is the waist velcros where a normal pair of pants have a button. It's okay, but I'm used to buttons. Neither a pro or a con at this point. Back of the waist has stretchy spot to allow a perfect fit if you're "in-between sizes." I normally wear a 32-30 (I'm 5'10" 165lbs of "solid muscle" aka dad-bod) and they felt long prior to washing, but once they were washed, they have shrank a small bit and fit better than my jeans. Edited portion: it’s now November 2019 and I have bought 6 pairs of these (in different colors) in total, they’re that durable and comfortable. I have since quit wearing jeans, as they feel so restrictive with squatting down to work on something low to the ground. I still have the first pair I ordered back in 2017 and still wear them all the time. Have been washed an estimated 300’ish(?) times in the two years I’ve owned and they haven’t faded in color, haven’t ripped, not a single seem has busted.... legit, good pants. Edit #3: March 2021. The pants have held up great through washes, everyday carrying of sidearm and extra mags. Seams are still as they were upon purchase. These pants have really impressed me. The only recommendation I can make is to close the Velcro before washing them, or everything sticks to it in the washer/dryer. Edit #4: March 2024. I’ve found myself no longer wearing jeans, as I’ve became so fond of the way these pants fit. The first pair I purchased in 2017 are STILL in my wardrobe selection being worn at least once every week. Helikon Tex screwed up and made a pair of pants so comfortable and durable, people won’t need to buy anymore after purchasing a pair. Hah. Anyway, this will be my last review of these pants. I figure a 7 year review of some pants should get the point across and be the last review you’d need to read about them. Hope you enjoyed.

Great quality, great fit. More expensive than what I'd usually pay for trousers but absolutely worth the price. Just bought my third pair!

Helikon-Tex may be the best all around outdoors brand currently available. They offer a great quality to price ratio and haven't been affected by the hype over quality that brands like Crye, Patagonia, Arctyrx and others are currently suffering from. These pants are light weight, have a solid 50/50 ripstop material and do a good job cloning some of the better features you'd find on high end range pants. Obviously they aren't going to be 100% as good as Cryes but at 1/3rd the cost. What more could you ask for?
