In my Solo firepit stove I frequently burn wood with LOTS of nails in it. I dump ashes into compost, and I don't really want it full of rusty nails. This product makes quick work of getting nails out of the ashes. I suppose I'll use it for other thing as well, but it's really well suited to extracting metal from mess.

Seen someone use one on a tube video on their metal lathe, thought it looked slick. Picked one up and can't figure out how I lived without it to use around my metal lathe and milling machine, and even on the band saws when cutting steel. Works great.

This magnet pick-up tool is a total lifesaver. Strong enough to grab screws, nails, and even small tools from tight spots. The extendable handle makes it easy to reach into engine bays. Simple, sturdy, and super handy to have around.

Magnet could be stronger. Pickup tool can't be stored by sticking it onto a vertical surface because it will immediately fall off. I'd prefer a much stronger magnet. Otherwise, handy tool for multiple tasks.

Gadget of the year, or it should be. Very well made and equipped with a strong magnet. Sweep it across a table full of steel filings and it picks up everything. Then just hold over trash can and pull out the magnetic rod to cleanly release all the steel debris. However, it can’t pick up steel particles from a steel vice. I guess nothing is perfect, but this device comes close.

This magnetic pickup tool work very well. Easy to use, easy to offload the collected chips and filings. For anyone working with small ferrous materials it work extremely well. It is not strong enough for large ferrous components/parts.
