Value for money gadget that’s good enough for any turntable/arm combo.Audiophiles with too much money will probably disagree.

Good to see that the tonearm cartridge shell top (with cartridge fitted) is parallel with platter ( with LP on platter)

useful but hard to use gadget . for oder people like me it is difficult fo see the lines.

Usefull did what it was mrnt to do but the lines are hard to see.

Not really much to say about a clear block of plastic with lines on it, other than it appears to be quite well made, and even comes in a nice storage pouch to keep it pristine.Setting VTA is best done by ear, but the Hudson alignment block makes short work of getting the tone arm or the base of the cart parallel with the record as a starting point. I recently went from a Rega P2 w/o VTA adjustment to a Technics SL-1500c which does. Being able to easily swap cartridges is great, but being able to quickly see and set VTA when doing so takes the guess work about of one part of cartridge alignment.

This is an easy to use and invaluable tool. Getting azimuth and SRA, VTA correct is critical to getting a distortion free wide open sound stage. This tool makes it exceptionally easy to accomplish. Money well spent!
