smells great, is light weight and leaves no white cast
I have to admit, I've spent most of my life not taking the use of sunscreen seriously which is terrible. Maybe this is due to when I was born since I don't remember people making that big of a deal about wearing sunscreen when I was a child in the 80s and 90s. You wore it when you knew you were at high risk of burning but that's about it. Recently, I started actually taking skin care seriously and have started using a variety of skin care products. A lot of them stress the importance of using SPF due to them causing an increase in sensitivity to UV rays making you more prone to sun damage. I can't stand the way regular sunscreen feels though especially on the face. I hate that it always feels thick and greasy as it just makes me not want to use it. I've heard people rave about skin care sunscreens due to them not feeling like regular sunscreen on the skin so when I saw this Cell Fusion C Aquatica UV Defense Sunscreen, I thought it would be a great one to try. What I love about this sunscreen is that it's super lightweight and once it soaks in, you can't even tell you put it on your skin. I'm not someone that wears makeup but I would assume this would make this a great sunscreen to wear with it. I also love that it has that classic sunscreen scent but isn't over powering. This sunscreen goes on smoothly and leaves no white cast at all. It also can be used in place of your moisturizer. It's exactly what I was looking for in a facial sunscreen plus it's a Korean brand which I love. They just always seem to get skin care right. I love that this product makes my face feel soft, moisturized and protects me with 50 SPF. I do want to add though that this sunscreen is not waterproof so if you're heavily sweating or swimming, you'll need to switch to a waterproof one.I did want to clear something up as I saw someone else in the reviews point out that the active ingredients on the box for this sunscreen appear to be different from what's printed on the tube. While there are different names printed on both, they aren't actually different ingredients. If you ever see ingredients listed differently on the packaging from the product, look them up. This is something that's actually super common to see as there's usually multiple names for the same ingredient which is exactly why the ingredients are listed the way they are on this product. On the box it lists Avobenzone 3.0% and on the tube Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane 3.0% which are both the exact same ingredient. Also on the tube it lists Ethylhexyl Salicylate 5.0% and on the box Octisalate 5.0% which again are both the same thing. I see so many people just make assumptions when they see this and they're usually very wrong so please always research your ingredients before just assuming things.I would definitely recommend this sunscreen for anyone looking for a good skin care one, especially for people like me that hate the way most sunscreens feel. I love that the price is reasonable for this type of sunscreen and despite it being on the smaller size, if used just for the face and neck, it should last a decent while.

Packed With Skin-Loving Ingredients, but Doesn't Have the Korean Sunscreen Feel
I picked up this sunscreen primarily because it’s a brand I recognized seeing in Korea. I expected that same lightweight, cosmetically elegant formula that Korean sunscreens are known for. What I forgot to consider was that this version is being sold on Amazon in the US, which means it’s the U.S. formulation and therefore uses FDA-approved filters like avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene rather than the newer-generation Korean filters (like Uvinul or Tinosorb) I typically prefer. That said, while the filter combo isn’t my favorite, it’s not bad. It offers solid broad spectrum protection but in terms of coverage it’s a bit heavier and not as cosmetically elegant as my favorite Korean sunscreens. However, it still contains a ton of skincare ingredients that my skin loves, which is also another thing I love about Korean skincare formulations. This is loaded with ingredients my skin loves, including hydrators like glycerin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, and sodium hyaluronic acid. There are soothing extracts like camellia sinensis leaf extract, centella asiatica, and others. There are also a ton antioxidants including vitamin e, green tea, and even some fermented ingredients. So while the filters are very much like U.S. sunscreens, the formulation is still almost like a serum-sunscreen hybrid. This DOES include added fragrance and lavender extract, which can be sensitizing especially for those with sensitive skin. While I didn’t experience irritation (my skin generally is pretty resilient), I prefer fragrance-free products when possible. If you're okay with the U.S. filters and a bit of fragrance, this is a solid option packed with skin-loving ingredients. Just don’t expect that classic Korean sunscreen feel.

This sunscreen hydrates my skin
I took this sunscreen with me to use on a cruise and it was great. The sunscreen feels super lightweight and hydrating (I guess that's maybe what the aqua in the name is for?). My skin absorbed it almost immediately and it did not leave any cast of any sort. There was no off-putting scent from this at all.I did end up using it on my arms as well as my face as I had misplaced my body sunscreen and it worked without any skin issues on both ( a bit pricey for large applications on non sensitive skin though).I would love to get this again to use as a daily sunscreen and moisturizer.
