My wooden doors kept constantly falling off their hinges. I have tried filling the holes with epoxy and using wood anchors but they still weren’t closing properly and not secure. I came across this product and wow! It’s basically a wood anchor on steroids. It’s a four step process: 1. Remove the old door screws at the hinge. 2. Drill exactly three inches with the bit provided. Tape off the bit at the three inch mark at the base and proceed to drill keeping it level. Take your time and still consistently on the slowest setting. 3. Remove wood dust from the hole and begin to screw in the anchors with the torx bit and a hand screwdriver. Do not use power tools for this part! Ensure the anchors are flush with the door. 4. Line up the hinge plate with the anchor holes and begin to screw in the screws with a screwdriver and Philips bit. After that the installation is complete and your door should be on its hinges and closing properly. It’s a bit in the pricey side for 12-pack but it’s a solid and permanent solution. This is very impressive and a lot of sturdier than using plastic wood anchors. I used those previously and they weren’t as good. Refer to my pictures in this review.

Ten Stars! This kit is excellent. I used it to fix a heavy door from the garage to the house where the hinge pulled out from the frame. It took less than 15 minutes to fix my door. Now it works perfectly. Everything needed for the install was included in the kit, which made for an easy task. thanks!

Fixed the wallowed out holes in a hollow interior bedroom door. Easy to install. I would recommend a glue to keep the threaded inserts tacked in place and from over-inserting/rotating itself when you install the hinge screws.

This hinge repair kit worked very well. I had tried a couple of other products before, but this one has been the most effective by far. Installation was straightforward, and it reinforced my door hinge exactly as advertised. Time will tell how it holds up long-term, but so far I’m impressed. It truly comes with everything you need to install, drill bit, little driver attachments screws The only downside is the extremely high price. It does the job better than anything else I’ve used, but it definitely feels a bit overpriced. Still, if you need a reliable fix for stripped hinge screws, this kit delivers.

Update: I bought another set. I can't say enough about this door hinge repair set! Another sagging door, another way as pie install. Now the door is rock solid and so is the last one I repaired! To address the cost; it's a lot cheaper than the cost of a door jamb and contractor and inconvenience in your home. Again, WORTH EVERY PENNY! I had an interior door that sagged for years. I'd put in longer screws and by 1 year later it was back to sagging. I was up to 5 inch screws into the studs. I recently replaced the hinges and knobs on all my doors and even the 5 inch screws were feeling a little loose already. This kit is worth every penny, it was so easy to install and feels more solid than it has felt in years! I painted the screw heads to match and I'm good to go! If anything changes, I'll update. But I don't anticipate that happening.

This is my second time ordering these for door in my home. They are brilliant. Yes, they are not cheap but they come with everything one needs, provided you own a drill, and do EXACTLY what you need. It could not be easier to install. I was surprised to read the negative reviews on these as they work so well. I read through a few of them and almost all were user error related. The brass inserts are internally threaded to except the provide (be them standard) hinge screws. They went in super smooth and hold tight. I installed these on a basement door that has a wall that only allows it to open just past 90 degrees. People often swing it open and the force of it slamming into the door stop, pulled out the hinges. Tried several fixes but it was only these that have worked, and lasted. Those were installed several years ago and still holding up perfectly. Just installed a second set in a door where the hinges let go.

Having spotted these at the National Hardware show Las Vegas 2021 am thrilled to be able to purchase Zzem Screws in UK Excellent quality - the perfect solution if your hinge screws are turning & turning and the door has worked its way loose. I used to use gorilla glue & match sticks or cocktail sticks which sort of worked but was never that strong. Zzem screws come complete with all you need Except the cordless drill 🙌 You use the supplied drill bit to make the old screw hole bigger, then use the supplied Hex bit to drive the Zzem screw into the new hole using a cordless The Zzem screw cuts a tight thread into the hole Make sure its flush with the frame behind where the hinge sits Lastly use the supplied no 2 Phillips screwdriver bit & screw to secure the hinge to the frame Check the depth of the door frame & if required trim the Zzem screws after first establishing how thick it is. Ive never had such a strong fix Highly recommend

Outstanding, complete package for serious hinge problems. Brilliant idea: 1) drill smaller hole for the metal insert 2) screw-in supplied metal-made tunnel with the top accommodating supplied star shaped bit 3) finally screw-in elegantly finished screw flashed with the hinge surface Works with very heavy doors and/or bearing hinges. Have not seen such complete, well thought out product (solution) to, often a difficult problem for a long time. Great job manufacturer!

Ok,I was ready to see a product that would work but was fairly cheaply made but to my shock and amazement I was wrong ! Very wrong. The kit is actually fantastic with everything you need so you don’t have to dig around in your garage or run to the hardware store. The included drill bit is a proper bit that will last a long time not a disposable one time use crappy bit. The instructions are good and it comes with good quality screws and screw tips. I installed mine into the door itself which is a very heavy wood door that did not survive to dramatic girls as they grew up lols. I used a strong good quality wood glue when I screwed in the inserts for extra peace of mind. Very happy and my youngest has a bedroom door again !

I replaced the hinges in my front door twice over the past few years and it started to stick again over the winter. Thought I needed a new door (which is obviously not cheap), but stumbled across this. It took less than 5 minutes and the door opens and closes like new. Couldn't be happier!
