it works very well with the supplied apps, the nightvision is decent and clear, the day picture perfectly adequate. two way sound works fine... but... i just can not find a way to use this with any other software or nvr. the danaCMS software on videos talks to it on port 12349 but no amount of trial and error produced anything. so not particularly useful as part of a larger setup and best used by itself. greater minds might figure that out at some point. i don't like being locked in to an app that requires the internet, and even trying to change the DNS settings via the app to remove the chinese DNS server fails. it's the only settings page to fail. i don't want a chinese DNS. i'm going to have to have a long hard look at what it is doing before deciding whether i can trust it on my network. if i could access a stream and not have it talking outside of my network i'd buy 4 but at this price i doubt there will be any updates or suitable support

Great camera, instructions leave out major info, Everything went smoothly from installing app to setting up router, then setting up camera, it doesnt really explain that it needs altering from its default setting of lan to wifi, otherwise like me, you move it after set up to its permanant place, then realise its stopped working and recieving no signal. after 3 hours of head scratching, i was looking round the camera setting, tapped something (dont ask, i've no idea) and up came the settings for lan or wifi, changed it to wifi,And everything suddenly started doing what it should, Im not going to mark it down because the picture quality is superb, apart from that awkward time of day when its just light outside but a lot darker inside, then the opic s colour but grainy as it cant decide whether to go colour or black and white for night vision. but thats a common issue with all cameras, really pleased although it took so long.

Overall good camera, good video quality and night vision. Was a bit of a pain at first setting up and connecting to the wifi, but once connected worked great. But one night for some reason became diconnected and then camera spoke in woman robot voice saying 'device not connected' or something similar, quite loud aswell. It scared our 2 year old and he was petrified and hiding under the covers crying. Felt so bad haven't used it since then..

Great picture with easy setup. Bad points were short power lead and no web access through a browser. Although the camera lists an IP address it cannot be accessed through a browser or other camera monitoring software via the IP. Great if you just want to use the Danale software/apps on your devices. Can anyone recommend an IP camera with true IP access and modern browser support ?

This product does not support access via a browser. You need to use the app (or any other) or as an onvif source. Although the app provides you with an option to set the port, it stays at a default and you cannot change it. This port, however, does not work and isn't actually open after a network scan.You cannot change all DNS settings, it will retain one of them which is based in China (114.114.114.114). You cannot modify this.This camera has 4 open ports once on the network. You cannot change this, cannot control it and in the 30 minutes I spent playing, I couldn't verify what they were for; two accepted a telnet connection and replied with the date and time but that's it.I do not like having open ports on a device in my network with no real way to identify what's going on. I'd have set up a tcpdump or wireshark but ultimately, what's the point? It's a security risk and I certainly wouldn't want someone elsewhere on the planet being able to control the camera or watching my child.Personally, I'd avoid this. As well as all p2p cameras.

It works really great. Good image quality. I like the two way talk option. I use it for “spying” on my sleeping toddler while I’m in the garden or downstairs. It’s also very useful when you have to go out and leave your teenage daughter home alone ;) It’s a shame you have to pay for subscription to be able to set recording. I want to use it while on holiday as a security cam, and want to set it to motion detector recording mode.It has a very easy to use app you can download on all devices.

Nice product at a very reasonable price , sound and zoom could be better, but at this price 👍, oh and very easy setup

First camera the sne camera from same supplier was fine. But this camera has problems accessing WiFi whilst other still works fine. 50 /50 result, hence 50/50 review
