Super Delicious Chocolate Cake!
This chocolate cake mix did not disappoint! It’s moist, very chocolaty and can be modified pretty easily! I added some additional cocoa powder and a spoonful of coffee grounds to make it really rich. Made a chocolate ganache for the center (unsweetened cocoa baking bar, swerve confectioners sugar, butter, heavy whipping cream) and made an easy frosting (swerve confectioners sugar, cocoa powder, splash of vanilla, spoonful of ground coconut for thickness and heavy whipping cream) and this cake was a major hit!! It was for my husbands birthday and the kids had no idea it was sugar free! 🤣😎 Absolutely recommend!

Pleasant Surprise!
I have been using Swerve brown and granulated sugar for a while now and have been happy with them, so I decided to try the chocolate cake mix. I have my own blood glucose issues, and a friend coming for Christmas has even more serious ones. I made a test cake, frankly a bit wary of what a wheat-free, sucrose-free chocolate cake was going to taste like. To compound things, I realized that I did not have an 8" cake pan, which the recipe called for, and so I resigned myself to my fate and used a 9" tart pan (lined with parchment paper, with the oven at 345 degrees). The batter came together quickly, and it baked up into quite a decent chocolate snack cake, even in the larger pan. While I may add some bittersweet chocolate ganache for Christmas, for satisfaction of the everyday chocolate jones, this will do quite well.I'm delighted to have found such an easy, yummy cake mix.

Great sugar free cake!
If you are trying to limit the amount of glucose spikes in your life, this is your cake mix! The taste is AMAZING, not too sweet, and good enough to eat on its own. Rates a 78/100 on Yuka!

Pretty good
Made cupcakes with these today. Probably could’ve used something healthier for my oil, but I went with Crisco shortening as it’s all I had on hand. I cooked them for 30 minutes, which was the max recommended time. I wish I would’ve checked them sooner as they came out a little on the brown side. The taste is pretty good, although the consistency was much more like a bread than a cake, in my opinion. It was very crumby and almost impossible to peel from the cupcake wrapper. Read: messy. All in all, I am not displeased because some of this could be due to my oil of choice or cooking time. I plan to buy another and use a different oil and cook for less time and see if there is an improvement. By the way, I also frosted with a cream cheese, butter, swerve confectioner, and vanilla extract frosting which was much more delicious than the cupcakes were.

just okay
i've been doing keto a little while and am pretty used to substituting monk fruit, swerve, stevia, etc in my desserts - but i just wasn't a fan of this. the texture was actually alright, it's just the taste is not very sweet or chocolate-y. tasted like more of a slightly sweet bread. it's alright for satisfying a sweets craving, but next time i'll probably just whip together my own cake mix.

Love Your New Products!
"A ketogenic diet is any diet that forces the body into ketosis, whereby fats are burned instead of carbohydrates for use as energy" true. Many people, including myself, do not have to be a "Puritan Ketogenic". If we decide to add a teaspoon of a product to help flavor or help bind flours to a Keto recipe once in awhile we can. Alcohol also slows down ketosis so should I not have the occasional drink 0 carb drink? Everyones needs are different, depending on their health issues, exercise, maintenance vs weight loss etc. I have been living a ketogenic (lazy & strict) lifestyle since 2000. I have been using Swerve sweetener for at least 8 years & trust their test kitchens on their products. A scant teaspoon (3.5 carbs p/tsp) of tapioca flour, is NOT going to hurt me occasionally. Tapioca flour helps bind gluten free recipes and improves the texture, & moisture of baked goods. Everyones needs are different (never black & white). I am so happy Swerve has come out a product that will fit into many peoples Macros!

Don’t waste money on this
I bought this mix and a pack of Duncan Hines keto cake. Duncan Hines was half the price of this and is so much better. This cake is like cardboard the texture of it after cooking it was terrible.

Ding Dong Cake recipe from the Swerve website
The keto diet has me in a state of permanently jonesing for chocolate, so when I came across the recipe for Ding Dong Cake, named after those Hostess Ding Dong snack cakes from back in the day, naturally I wanted to make it. So I ordered this along with Swerve's Confectioners, and granular sugar replacements. Also ordered Zint! gelatin because I couldn't find anything similar in any of our local stores.Due to realizing too late that I'm missing some baking pans, I opted for making one cake and cutting it into two instead of splitting one box into two separate cakes, and it worked just fine. Overall, I'm very happy with how it came out and will definitely be trying several of their other recipes on the Swerve website, especially the pumpkin cheesecake bar! 😊
