What a headache!
Upon installing the pumps (front and back) on a 2005 Prius I discovered that the electrical plugs are different (first picture). Toyota no doubt designed them this way so that the mechanic doesn't accidentally switch the plugs when servicing them. If the plugs were switched the washer buttons in the car would be reversed. The control for the front would activate the rear and vise versa. Otherwise the pumps are identical. The website is misleading. It clearly says that they will work for both the front and back windshields for a generation 2 Prius. A quick search revealed that at least one other person had this problem also. Rather than try to deal with a return I decided that it would be easier to file the guides down on the sides of the rear pump motor so that it would fit into the rear electrical connector (picture 2). This was very easy to do. The next problem I had was when I filled the reservoir back up I noticed one of the white filter screens floating around. After further inspection one of the screens had detached from the pump (picture 3). I soon realized that the screen on the other pump was loose too. They just don't lock down well. It's a ver poor design. I checked the original Toyota pumps and their screens are locked in tight. I had to destroy one trying to see if the screen would pop out easily. They don't. So I decided to epoxy the screens on the new pumps in place as they are a non serviceable item anyway (picture 4). The Epoxy will hold the screens in place and the electrical connectors fit the plugs very tight so I'm not worried at all about the one pump that I modified to fit the rear plug. The pumps do work well and I suspect that they will last a long time but the website needs to be changed to reflect that the Prius requires different pumps for front and rear and from a design standpoint the company needs to figure out a way to attach the filter screens better.

Front or rear, pump electrical connecters are different.
This is the second one I ordered. The first was for a 04 Prius and this one an 08 Prius. I had initially had trouble installing the electrical connector to the pump, until I realized I was replacing the REAR window pump, not the windshield pump. The electrical connectors are key different between the two pumps. Both work great!

Washer Motor Woes: A Hilariously Infuriating Tale of Amazonian Betrayal and Crumbling Chaos!
Update: So, get this! After my hilarious review (I'm pretty much a comedy genius, you know), the seller actually reached out to me! They must have seen my silly antics and couldn't resist offering me a full refund. I mean, who saw that coming? Not me!I never even asked for a refund, but hey, I guess they felt bad that their item went all "Hulk smash" during removal. Like, seriously, who knew a product could be so fragile? But props to them for owning up to it and being all supportive. It's like they're the superhero of customer service!Honestly, I thought I was out of luck, but they totally proved me wrong. Now I feel like I've found my new shopping sidekick. Like, they've got hundreds of glowing reviews, and my little mishap is probably just a random hiccup in their otherwise perfect record. I mean, who doesn't have a poop-happens moment, right?Kudos to you, OTUAYAUTO, for being the knight in shining armor of product integrity! You've got my trust, and I'm ready to shop 'til I drop (but not my washer pump this time, please). Cheers to standing behind your stuff and making things right like a boss! 🎉Original Review:Listen up, folks! I've got a tale that'll make you chuckle, boil your blood, and raise your eyebrows all at once. So buckle up, because we're diving into the wild world of windshield washer motor mishaps!Picture this: I'm in the midst of a seemingly simple repair mission, replacing the front windshield washer motor of my trusty 2013 Toyota Venza. Piece of cake, right? Wrong! Little did I know that the comedy of errors was just getting started.I eagerly unpacked my long-awaited package from the good ol' Amazon. Oh, how they boasted about their guaranteed fit! But guess what? They got me... kind of. See, they sent me a motor alright, but it was for the rear washer. Bravo, Amazon, bravo! You got me the wrong motor for the wrong end of my car! Your accuracy knows no bounds. Now, I'm no quitter. Since I had already unleashed my wrath on the fender-well, I decided to replace both motors. Off I went to my friendly local parts store, hoping to find solace in their shelves. With a brand-spankin'-new front motor in hand, I returned to my vehicular battlefield. With a triumphant flourish, I removed the old rear motor, plumbing, and wiring. I bid farewell to my rear motor, a hard-working hero who deserved better than this Amazonian betrayal. And then, my friends, the moment of truth arrived. I installed the shiny, new Chinese plastic wonder, connecting all the right wires, and prepared for the grand performance. But alas! Silence. Not a single sputter, whine, or drip of fluid graced my eager ears. That motor sat there like a lazy sloth on vacation. Utter disappointment washed over me (pun intended), and frustration bubbled like a cauldron of rage. How could this dud of a motor fail me so spectacularly? In a fit of determination, I decided to extract the failed part and return it to the overlords at Amazon. But lo and behold, as I gingerly tried to remove the wretched thing from its cozy reservoir, it disintegrated in my hand! Yes, you heard that right, my friends. It crumbled away, mocking me with its fragile existence. Now, I understand that I didn't break the bank with this purchase. It was one of those "you-get-what-you-pay-for" situations. But seriously, folks, to have a part that doesn't work straight out of the box and then crumble into oblivion upon attempting to return it? That's a special kind of ridiculousness reserved for the annals of automotive folklore. So let this be a lesson to all you fellow shoppers out there. When you're hunting for your car parts on the mighty Amazon, don't just follow the crowd. Seek out those substantive reviews, the ones that speak the truth amidst the sea of star ratings. Because trust me, my friends, there are better washer motors out there in the vast Amazonian jungle. Now go forth, armed with knowledge and a sense of humor, and may your windshield washer motors be ever functional and free from catastrophic crumbling!
