Use the WeeyLitePro app if you're using Android!
Quick note: The QR code for Android in the manual did not work for me so be sure to download WeeyLitePro instead of googling the wrong app like I did! As for my review, wow! I'm not easily impressed by "cheap" gear but this light is really incredible for the price! I own a Viltrox monitor which is *ok* but this light really blew me away. For starters, it gets incredibly bright for its size, and if mounted on your camera it might be too bright for very close subjects even at 1% power. There are simple workarounds for this of course, and I don't see it as a con. The light emitted is soft and I have not noticed any flicker in camera. The device itself is lightweight, decent build quality, and made of aluminum, which was really surprising to me. Using the app is optional but it really takes your control to the next level. Normally you'd hear me say "ugh I don't want to download another app" but I decided to try it out and it makes using this thing a breeze! Connection to the app is instantaneous (which I've never had happen with Bluetooth) and the app includes a feature where you can use your phone camera to select a color from a surrounding scene that the light will imitate pretty accurately. I haven't used a color chart to compare but if nothing else it is an excellent baseline and it's just super cool! You can connect a ton of different lights at a time to the app and control each one independently. There are 6 different groups you can set up with 19 channels to choose from. You can save your custom settings in the app as individual scenes to instantly switch back to at any time which is super handy. You *might* be able to do this on the light itself without using the app but I have not attempted it. The RGB color options are basically limitless, and there are some neat (but gimmicky) effects like flickering candlelight, flashing police lights, etc. The color temperature range is perfect for my needs. All of this can be controlled either from the light itself or more easily from the app. If I were to have any cons to list they would be the shoe adapter and the battery. The adapter is made of plastic and not the robust thing in the world, but it works just fine. You can always slap on a SmallRig adapter or mount the light directly to a magic arm or anything 1/4". The battery is the same model battery that came with my monitor (NP-F550) and they die quickly when used at high power and add a good bit of weight. That said, additional batteries are cheap to purchase (I think $30 for two), and it is really convenient that I can swap them between my two different devices. Worst case scenario, you can always plug in a USB-C cable power the light, which is likely what I'll do the majority of the time. All said I'm incredibly pleased. I'm not one to often post glowing five star reviews but I already bought a second one of these and will probably get more down the line. The big test now is time. Fingers crossed!

Buy it!!! Tremendous bang for the buck features and performance.
This light for video or photography is amazing. I have bought so many important and expensive A/V types of equipment including in home theater realm .... sight unseen ..... over the last decade and a half simply from reading the on line Amazon reviews from owners. When you see a pattern of references from upward of 70 -80% that rave about something it's always a good sign. With this light I did not even read that long. One of the remarks from a buyer here early on that caught my eye was, it was "shockingly good for the price". Have to agree. If I saw this light in one of my local pro video or photo shops and got to hold it and turn it on and get a feel for its technology without knowing the price, I would have been guessing like $150. Things that are amazing. First off with a modern full frame awesome sensor camera such as the Sony A7r III I don't need often a lot of light for fill. But at 100% in a dark room it throws a lot. What is beautiful as others have mentioned is the diffusion and softness of the light. And my jaw dropped when I saw the wide angle throw of the light. Seriously it is at 170 -180 degrees. Never in 30 years of seeing on camera lights have I ever seen that wide of a throw. For still photography can you say ultra wide lenses in situations where they are needed and light is needed, long as you're not expecting miracles in big spaces with its output. Then the reportedly high CRI index of the completely adjustable by one click or quick spin through the clicks of 3300-5600K. Push same button on back and that range switches to cover the intensity level. And as someone else mentioned and I confirmed, when dialed to a dimmed level and mounted on my camera it does not seem to create any LED flicker or colored horizontal stripes in the images. I had this happen to a few shots before I discovered it with another dimmed LED light with the camera set to "Silent Shutter". Was told on DPReview that was a bugaboo for most cameras if they had that capability, you needed to shoot with manual shutter and then "usually" were OK. Did this a week ago and was OK with another light before this arrived. And lastly the beautiful blue information window on the back where the control button is. Always on and pleasing to look at but shows you everything you are set for ..... color temp, light intensity 0 - 100% and so, so valuable .... the remaining level of your batteries charge. And sweet seemingly spring loaded snap in and snap out battery catch. Very positive and effort free. I'd give this light 10 stars if I could. Plan to buy at least 1 more.

Just a great little light. Great work light, too!
I ordered this with the batteries and charger, so it was a $48 light. Still a bargain for the money. Compare the cost to any Speedlight. I do a lot of close-up and macro work, and this light is perfect for these uses. I just got it yesterday, and haven't had a chance to try it out for other uses, but it should be fine for fairly close fill-lighting. The tunable light color is great when I need some pics around the brewery where I work. We have several different light sources. I gave it four stars for two reasons: 1) The power supply--battery, AC or both--is not included. 2) The dimmer is not linear. It jumps from one brightness to another. Some kind of case would be handy. I'm now considering buying the big brother (or three) to this light. I can see my studio getting a lot more use without having to fiddle with flashes or sweat with hot-lights. I'll post more as I use this light more. Update 8/29/19: I was working on our bottling line this week and wanted some pictures in a very poorly lit location. I set the panel light up using an UltraPod to anchor it to the machine. After taking my pictures, I discovered that this is also an ideal work light! The flat lighting is easy on the eyes, and it produces very little heat, which was essential with the brewery at 95F. I would buy one of these again just for this purpose.

A Versatile, Lightweight, and Affordable LED Light
The Viltrox 15c RGB LED light is an affordable fill light that is perfect for a wide variety of photography and videography applications. It is small and lightweight (only 0.6 lbs. according to the description), making it easy to take with you on the go. The color reproduction is accurate, and I was surprised by how bright the light can get (6800K) for its size. The control panel on the back is easy to use, with many modes to adjust brightness, color temperature, and special effects. The LED light also has an app to make adjusting these settings even easier. I found the app easy and intuitive to use (pics attached), and preferred it to the knobs. Connecting the app to the light is seamless, as you don't even need to use Bluetooth to connect. The light is powered by a NP battery, which comes already charged, so you can immediately start using the light. It is rechargeable via USB-C, and the light can also be powered directly using USB-C for extended use. Overall, the Viltrox RGB LED light is a premium quality light for an affordable price. The portability and versatility it offers due to its small, lightweight build is unmatched and makes it excellent for a wide variety of use cases.

great product. horrible instructions and product descriptions.
Let's get a few things straight from the get-go. 1. These are filler lights. NOT ARENA/ stage LIGHTS. 2. VILTROX LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT AT ANY PERCENT. 100% is for plugged-in power. and can light a whole subject area. 3. Using 4 lights with these panels you can do a stage light area filler. 4. VilTrox does make some of the best lights on the market for the every person pricetag 5. Viltrox staff are absolutely horrible at doing product descriptions and making instruction manuals. they also issue very crappy accessories to pair. Example: charging/ power cord not long enough. How am I supposed power it when the cord won't even reach my USB surge protector... a thumb length cord... Okay, i think, i actually ordered the wrong light in a 2x but I have no intention of returning them because I can still use it. But I think I actually wanted the 15c version. but I went by the product description..... Samething Happened last time i bought a light from them. so CCT in photography means color, control, temperature... WHICH IS actually a control short hand for 3 Areas of light, the RGB color, the color temp in Kalvin, and brightness. the product clearly shows a LCD touchscreen remote.(or cellphone app depending on your education) it also talks of a remote app for your phone. but how to use it or where to buy it is not listed in the manuals. it also is not anywhere in Amazon or the official store. the 15b shows app control yet the app doesn't work... just searched Viltrox in Google Play Store... Viltox is well built. my old light is over 10 years old how ever it is reaching the end of its life span... you will never hear me complain about the quality of the main product. That battery life on these will always be crap. the reason for this is Sony has already stated they are about getting people to spend money on their products. they already admitted to creating low-quality products. so if Viltrox is using a sony battery design it means its meant to crap out... That were meant to last a certain number of years before the breakdown. (1-3 years FYI with proper use) Fact most Japanese companies use sony or Samsung products... I do love the improvements they made on the battery design. no more charging box needed. just a cable.... great... my only 2 complaints about the battery are its crap for battery life its supposed to be lithium-ion which means more power for longer.. and you can never tell if the thing is charged or not without plugging it into the light... the charge bar on it doesn't actually work... the video light cold shoe munt i mean come on i can find a better-made one for 7$.. Come on now don't skimp... the Rybeck one i bought 10 years ago was better made... and give me a 3 foot braided power cord.... and if you offer a remote make sure it comes in the box even if it means extra cost.... this would have been a 5-star review had they not skipped on the accessories. and they made proper descriptions including the size of this light. 2nd light bought. i was shocked by the size... 2nd light I've bought where the description didn't do the product justice.... I highly suggest they hire a natural photographer niche to take actual pictures to show off in the future not just photoshopped crap...

GREAT LIGHT! Bought on Amazon Prime Sale
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LIGHT! Got this light on Amazon Prime Sale along with 2 other lights to see which was better. This light won with flying colors!!! Now I wish I had gotten 2 or 3 at the sale price. I will save up and get 2 more. The regular price is well worth it. They are perfect for my art studio when I am videoing for my YouTube Channel. I get no shadows. A second light will make it better to balance the room out and a 3rd will be great for when I take pictures of art work. Sending the other 2 back, this one is 100x more brighter. I love the LED on back and a good sturdy on/off switch, not flimsy wheel like the others. BEST PART to me is the versatility of charging the batter pack. I am hoping for when the day comes the battery goes toast that I can buy a replacement pack but I haven't looked for it yet.
